well done on the bingo wins, i might have to stay up late to give it a go when its quieter. Sorry to hear that you are having to work so hard, I should find a video of a c-section to email to your hubby might make him more helpful.

Its keeping me motivated to see your savings total, its good to see someone come out the other side of large debts. well done again.

    Including me!

TBH I feel fairly well, though my scar is itching like crazy. Not getting a lot of sleep but then I didn't while pregnant either so it doesn't bother me too much so far.

OH been quite helpful today. I let him sleep in so he's swept up downstairs, cleaned the bathroom, made lunch and changed every nappy. DS has hoovered the stairs and landing and DD hasn't done anything as she's out seeing High School Musical on Ice for the second day running (we bought her a ticket for yesterday as part of Christmas presents and her friend asked her to go today), though she did empty the dishwasher this morning. All I've done is washing / ironing type jobs and sorted through Tom's clothes so i've got all the ones that fit him to hand and all the next size up in the next set of drawers.

DS has had the computer most of the afternoon doing homework but have managed to win another £4.50 - shame I had to deposit £30 to withdraw it - lucky it's just after payday and the funds are temporarily available! Winnings - £76.96

Lol, not really. He was 5lb 5oz last Saturday, then was still the same when weighed during the week although he'd just been fed the first time so the midwife said he might not have weighed accurately. She's coming out to weigh him again tomorrow so hopefully he'll have gained. I was just sorting through all his newborn clothes to find what will fit him now and what will have to wait a week or two - it's amazing how much difference in clothes that are supposedly the same size. Then I have more drawers and his wardrobe that are filled with 0-3 months stuff- not sure when that will fit as most of it looks huge!
  • Had the midwife and the CONI (SIDS) health visitor out today. The CONI HV gave us a monitor for Tom to wear while sleeping. It will hopefully bring peace of mind as it "ticks" every time he takes a breath so I won't have to get out of bed and prod him to see if he's ok. She did say that it will probably go off once or twice a week as a false alarm which is a bit scary! We will give it a try though and see how we go. The scheme also involves filling in a symptoms diary and weekly visits from the health visitor to monitor weight plus we have a card that guarantees an immediate doctor's appointment if we have concerns, no matter how trivial - very handy to get past the dragons at our local surgery!

The midwife had my full blood count results and she said my liver function is almost back to normal and Tom is almost back to his birthweight which was good. She also asked about contraception and when OH said we were having no more children she agreed with him as she said I'd been seriously ill and "you don't know what could happen next time" I certainly didn't feel seriously ill!

Only won once on bingo today but haven't had much time. Winnings today - £21.74. Also done a couple of surveys and cshed in a big £3 from lightspeed
  • Just a couple of pictures that actually look more like Tom in real life... believe it or not the nappy he's wearing is an early baby nappy for babies up to 6lb and it still gapes in the leg!!

He's lovely! And he's got his own features showing through already, you must be so proud of him. Bit scary, tho, what the health visitor said.... Anyway, he's gorgeous.
