Aw, he's a little sweetie! I remember when my son was born even though he was 8lb 7oz all his clothes absolutely drowned him at first as they were 0-3, so I've bought a couple of 'first sizes' this time just to take to hospital! Can't imagine how tiny Tom must be!
I've had some of the most fab usernames in bingo, mostly from items lying around in the lounge! My favourites included loggylog, springything, wellyboot, baked potato and plasticfireman, obviously all with the addition of some random numbers at the end! Coincidentally, my OH did one called BrotherThomas, but he didn't win anything! I know exactly what you mean when you see the winner come up and don't recognise your own name!
Glad you're recovering anyway and that Tom is doing well. Keep posting those pics - they're making me soooo broody!0 -
You have lollylogs, springythings and wellyboots lying around the lounge Panda

Choccy, Tom's gorgeous hunIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Makes note to steal some of panda's usernames as I'm running out of inspiration!
I've also been looking at what's lying around in the lounge- hence my last win being accredited to tinytomthumb!
Panda, I imagine the best time to be broody is a few weeks before giving birth! (and not a couple of weeks afterwards with an OH who insists we've finished having children!)0 -
Didn't have the best start to today as woken by the sleep apnoea alarm  . I am supposed to check his breathing first but in my mad panic just grabbed him out of the basket whereupon he was breathing so not sure whether it was a false alarm or not. My heart is still racing now though and I haven't put him down this morning! (Typing one handedly at the moment|)
OH went back to work yesterday which was sad in one way but sort of nice to get bck to normality. I'm not getting a lot done but I suppose that's to be expected with a new baby.
Health visitor came and weighed Tom. He's now 6lb 1 - has put nearly 10oz on in a week. Hopefully that will put an end to OH's family suggesting I should bottle feed as my milk may not be filling him / not be there / not nutritious enough - delete as applicable!
On a related note I've lost 7lb since coming out of hospital a couple of weeks ago. Trying my best to eat healthily so this will hopefully continue - got about 2 more stone at least to lose though!
Finished working through the bingo sites and am £140 better off. The last couple of payments seem to be slow coming through though. OH trying now and won £38 yesterday. It's a start especially with getting low pay over past / next few weeks.
Been predicting our budget through March. Good news - we should get through without going back into debt. :j Bad news - it's gonna wipe out the savings and we can only afford to shop fortnightly. The fortnightly shopping seems to be going ok though - I haven't especially noticed that we're missing anything and it means we're only spending £80- £90 a fortnight instead of £70 - £90 a week. Been buying the potatoes, carrots and onions in bulk - can't believe the supermarkets charge the same for a small pack as the greengrocers charge for a sack! Also eggs at Asda are £1.28 for 6 and at our local greengrocers they are £1.20 for 12. Seems to have made a big difference.
Was very naughty and ordered a large Lush grab bag and a £5 double swing set (grabbit board strikes again) out of my bingo winnings. We already have swings but they're old and we aren't uprooting them when we move so will keep the swings for our new house. They haven't arrived but the money has been taken from my account so hopefully will receive them soon. The Lush box just arrived and looks too gorgeous to open - I'm very excited as have never had lush stuff before but am slightly worried I'm getting addicted to bath products - with Christmas and Boots offers and now this my bathroom shelvves are heaving!0 -
Lovely to read your update
So glad Tom's putting on weight and you can tell all those well meaning reletives to shove off!
When are you coming to Blackpool? If you have time, it would be great to met up as I have a LOT of very good clothes that I'd be really pleased if you woul dhave. A lot are probably far too big for Tom now, but they are good quality - mainly next, some gap, some others- and I just haven't got the time to ebay them or the inclination to be honest. If you'd rather not I completely understand!

hi choco - glad that Tom is putting on weight and that you are losing weight.
Good news too on the "not getting back into debt" forecast :jSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
