Im in a blind panic....sat down last night to have a read through stuff for appeal and reading website all about it.....im totally underprepared. Feel a bit of an idiot and and cross with myself that I could have got enough information to win this appeal but havent.

I have 1 hour to put all my notes and case together so that I can at least stand up in front of the panel and beg my case

    What a horrendous experience....

Am waiting for phone call but it will be categorically be a no. God knows what the hell I am going to do...there is no way I am sending her to the 3 rough schools that are 10 miles away they expect me to get her to. Panel basically didn't want to know, regardless of whether there are any spaces said I needed to apply to my own local authority for a place.

Am cross, upset, furious, at my wits end to be honest as I have no idea what to do now

Blimey shock to the system, first day back at work today since 12th August... Seems a ridiculous amount of time off work but it's gone by so quickly and really it hasn't been a holiday at all having had to move house in the time!

Oh well better get up and ready

Hi Sally, not been on for a while as I have been nursing my friend, but what was the outcome from the school - was it as you thought!

  • Sally, I had a chat with my ex about Hamworthy First after seeing the ofsted report. He says it's a good school, lots of it recently re-built. The catchment area isn't fab, there will be some Turlin Moor from further up Blandford Road but it got a 2 in its ofsted report and it seems they are doing good things. My colleague's son is the deputy head and his best friend is the other deputy head. They are both fairly young and enthusiastic so I reckon if you wanted to consider it, they would have a chat with you.
