Glad you have done it by the book
As to your highlighted statement - I do not know.
Some idoit tried to over take me while I was doing 30 in a 30 zone today, by going on the wrong side of the road!! - Needless to say, I prevented his overtake, good timing to, a Police car was coming the other way, he pulled back after he knew I'd prevented his overtake and whipped down another street after seeing the Police car, they turned round and think they went after him!
I cant believe you did that. Do you really think that it is the right thing to do?
Edit
I had only got as far as the above post when I posted I have now read the whole thread and realise I amnot the only one who thinks Sassy should not be driving or offering advice about driving on an internet forum
As to the OP I think you have done the right thing. you are right not to have confronted him, it could have ended up a much worse situation0 -

Thanks lisa1981 - as long as you indicated in good time, and he hadn't 'started crossing', you were in the right. Could have understood his annoyance a bit if you hadn't indicated.0

back to original post
perhaps the pedestrian was not entirely at fault - there is a less known aspect of the highway code . . . When turning left . . .
give way to pedestrians who have started to cross
- the pedestrian may consider that they had started. No excuse for lashing out at the car -but- be careful what you report to the police in the belief that you are blameless. You may end up being prosecuted.

Mmm, I think that speeding up would certainly be considered, driving without due care, not dangerous, but as far as speeding up to prevent being overtaken with the justification of protecting your property, erm, that comes under the realms of "road captain", and makes you sound in this instance to be a little bit strange, just aswell it wasn't an under cover Police car on silent approach to a firearms job or domestic, that might explain why the police car followed...............
I have no points, not bad after driving for a living in one capacity or another for the best part of twenty years.
The last ten years have been as an advanced driver, driving "on the bell".0
