    Sue me.

Changing your driving to prevent someone else from overtaking is dangerous driving and is contrary to the highway code. Particularly dangerous to do it when the other person has already started his overtake.

When you say that overtaking on a two way street is not in the highway code, just what do you mean? Do you mean that overtaking on any non-dual carriageway is forbidden? Of course it isn't.

Did I at any point defend the actions of the person who was overtaking you? No. Does the fact that someone else is making an overtake which may be dangerous and may represent dangerous driving in the eyes of the police make it acceptable for other road users to take unilateral action? No.

I did not 'block it' as you state, I merely sped up by 3-4 MPH preventing him getting in front.......

Do not call me a dangerous driver thank you, unless you have evidence (Solid) 100% evidence as you may well find yourself defending a claim of Libel!

I think we'd be fairly safe visiting the courts to deny your accusation of libel after reading your own words!

You do look to be a dangerous driver if you speed up when you see someone wants to overtake you to thwart them.

Here's advice for you from the highway code next time you get involved:
You should not allow yourself to become agitated or involved if someone is behaving badly on the road. This will only make the situation worse. Pull over, calm down and, when you feel relaxed, continue your journey

It seems its not just us who think you are a dangerous driver, the highway code says this especially for dangerous drivers like you regarding being overtaken:
If a driver is trying to overtake you, maintain a steady course and speed, slowing down if necessary to let the vehicle pass. Never obstruct drivers who wish to pass. Speeding up or driving unpredictably while someone is overtaking you is dangerous. Drop back to maintain a two-second gap if someone overtakes and pulls into the gap in front of you.

I did not change my driving sytle to prevent someone from overtaking, unless you know the full facts may be you should stop your incorrect posts against me.

I had no other choice, unless apply the brakes, and let the other car behind go in the back of me at 30 MPH?? would that be more safer pwllbwdr? Causing a pile up, possible injuries and insurance claims?
Including, two innocent drivers because some possibly un insured and un lincesed/banned driver decides to do a illegal overtake?

I am talking overtaking on a normal quite street with houses both side, are you telling me that is 'allowed' in the high way code?

May be and not the may be, you are one of the persons who decides they will overtake someone with oncoming traffic and find that acceptable, however I am not

The facts are, I did nothing dangerous in any shape or form, I did the correct thing in the circumstances of another car, as already stated was behind me, behind me.

Oh, and another thing, it you want to be a stalker and read all my posts and threads, please try and keep it quite ;)

And I think you need to take the time to re read my post.

The offending car attempted to overtake two cars, mine being the car in front and one behind me, on a standard street - which is not allowed.

Now, the interesting part, who did the Police go after? If you may be read my post again, correctly this time, you will see the answer ;)

I acted perfectly safe and did the correct thing given the circumstances, and if you believe otherwise, may be your a dangerous driver!

Perhaps this is a good time to point out to readers that when sassy says something to be a fact, the opposite is actually frequently the truth.

(We of course are allowed to overtake 2 (or more) cars (or other road users) on a standard street.)

As already stated, the final bit of information you state goes not apply given the circumstances, I could not have dropped back being I had a car behind and was doing 30, not without causing the driver to go in the back of me - so I think given that, the information you state is incorrect.

What really shocks me by your statements is I have held a full driving license for over 30 years, have never be involved in any accident EVER, drive between 100-600 miles a week, motorway and town driving, have maximum no claims and have only ever got a speeding ticket once, doing 37 in a 30 zone!

So I think, that added, I think any one can make there own choice, if I am as as you claim, a dangerous driver.

Oh yes, and I have NEVER touched a glass of alcohol and driven, not a drop.
Never used a mobile phone while driving either.

Get your facts correct before replying to my posts ;)

And I think this would also be a good time to say, to you and anyone else who feels the same, that if you do not like my posts, do not read them I have said such before and I will say it again!

Admin are fully aware of certain members on this forum who have taken a liking to making a false profile using a very similar user name, which was reported and has been deleted.
Along with this, there aware of certain members attacking my posts, a few of which admin and corrected the abusive and offensive content.

So my advice is simple here, and should be fairly easy for you as you appear not to like my posts, do not read them, but this is a open forum and I will post my views, if you like them or not! ;)

Now, I bid you a good day!

I think persons who believe you can overtake on a standard street need to read here:

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Highwaycode/DG_070314

Stated here, direct from the governments mouth and the Highway code states:

    Section 167

DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users - which he did as travelling at 30 MPH with a car behind doing a double overtake would cause conflict

If you would have to enter a lane reserved for buses, trams or cycles during its hours of operation - Yes

where the road narrows - which in my case it did

So, in fairness, unless you know the facts, don't tell me what is right or wrong, as I have just checked the Highway code, and as I stated prior, I was in the right ;)
