Sounds to me that's exactly what happened.

Sassy also said.............."The facts are, I did nothing dangerous in any shape or form" Actually Sassy, by your own comments, you did.

Sassy said.........."I did the correct thing" No, you didn't.

I think you may have some anger issues to work out, mate.

Are you sure you have a driving licence? If you do I would post it back with a note saying that you are too stupid to be allowed one, before you kill someone.

And I think this would also be a good time to say, to you and anyone else who feels the same, that if you do not like my posts, do not read them I have said such before and I will say it again!

Admin are fully aware of certain members on this forum who have taken a liking to making a false profile using a very similar user name, which was reported and has been deleted.
Along with this, there aware of certain members attacking my posts, a few of which admin and corrected the abusive and offensive content.

So my advice is simple here, and should be fairly easy for you as you appear not to like my posts, do not read them, but this is a open forum and I will post my views, if you like them or not! ;)

Now, I bid you a good day!

    Are you on drugs?

Just asking... I'd hate to be taken to court ;)

  • Okay, I confess, I was the driver of the police car. I would have dealt with the matter but I saw Sassy and felt safer getting out of there PDQ!!

Firstly, i am not your 'mate' as you call me :o

Secondly, I have since posted the full facts, although this thread is not about overtaking etc, so I would recommend you start a new thread if you wish to talk about it.
You or anyone else do not know the full facts, which I have posted in my later replies, and I have posted a web link to show what I was doing was correct.

You simply cannot overtake in a bus lane, so please, don't tell me the law when you do not know it yourself.

Lastly, I am pleased to see, yet again, a thread has been turned into a debate and 'fun' making one about me, I would be very grateful if you would gain a new hobby, as clearly you must be bored.

IF it does continue, I shall report it to Admin, again, so please, ignore my posts if you do not like/agree/want to read them, thank you :) :T

Or maybe a disclaimer whenever a certain person states something is fact, perhaps this would suffice.

Also, if it had been me, I'd have jammed the brakes on and got and out given the guy a kick!
What right does he have to damage your car or anyone's for that matter?

I have the right to defend property of mine which is in the process of being damaged and would do just that.

Then it would not have been "in the process" of being damaged, would it?

Just to give an alternate view of the OP's incident
    HC 170:
    Take extra care at junctions:

    .
watch out for pedestrians crossing a road into which you are turning. If they have started to cross they have priority, so give way.

If the pedestrian has reported the incident you might need to be aware of this. Although your account does sound like you were midturn before the pedestrian stepped out.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Glad you have done it by the book :)

As to your highlighted statement - I do not know.

Some idoit tried to over take me while I was doing 30 in a 30 zone today, by going on the wrong side of the road!! - Needless to say, I prevented his overtake, good timing to, a Police car was coming the other way, he pulled back after he knew I'd prevented his overtake and whipped down another street after seeing the Police car, they turned round and think they went after him!

You are are not the road police. Its not your job to prevent others breaking the law and stopping someone overtaking is extremely dangerous. You may think you were being helpful/good citizien but you really weren't.
As you said, the real police were about and they could have dealt with it as they are supposed to.Not you.
