Does you Leeds Cheque account report monthly to the CRA's?
I am unsure if the Albion Cheque does. My Cov 1st doesn't either. But some newer Cov 1st people on here say theirs reports to CRA's monthly.0 -

No - my Leeds Premier Current Account does not report monthly to CRAs
It was opened a long time ago though and I do not have an overdraft on the account
Albion Cheque shouldn't as overdrafts are not allowedHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I don't like the fact that "current" accounts report to the CRAs.
I think they should if people fall by the wayside but if in order and if in credit it is none of the business of the CRAs or any other place searching how I run my own money.0 -

I agree , particularly where the account holder does not have an overdraft limit on the account
I have a few current accounts with no overdraft limit which report monthly to CRAs
I also don't like current accounts which don't generate a behaviour score - they are just High Interest Cheque Accounts (HICA) by another name , although you don't get a cheque book with Coventry
I'm not sure whether Coventry First generates a behaviour score , that said I do not have a problem with HICA's that do not pretend to be current accounts
There are very few HICA's these days , Swansea Building Society issues a cheque book on its savings account subject to a minimum balance
Remember Bristol & West's Select account and Chelsea's Classic account ?
Coventry's refusal to issue chequebooks is due to their "TLC not PLC "stance - they said they would never issue chequebooks or become a PLC years ago and have stuck to their wordHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I don't know if it generates a behaviour score. You can increase the overdraft from £250 to £1,00 but you have to have been with them a while. It might stand you in good stead if you go for a mortgage or loan with the Cov if you have the 1st account but I don't know.
I find I am happy with the Debit Card with the Cov so feel no need for a credit card. I know you get the "protection" on a credit card but I have used the chargeback system about 3 times with the Cov and every time it has been successful. Also the transactions were well below £100.0 -

So they didn't require any persuasion to increase the overdraft limit ? - perhaps they do use behaviour scoring
And now that you have an old fashioned High Interest Cheque Account with Leeds BS you have everything you need for for your daily banking requirements :T
A current account with a Debit card , overdraft and no chequebook complemented by a HICA with chequebook and £250 cheque card without an overdraft or debit card :eek:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Integrity in banking:
what does it mean?
It means:
* making certain that your money is safe with us
* offering a sensible range of loans and deposits
* talking with someone who knows who you are
* having branches open when it's convenient for you
* and always treating you with care and respect
Isn't that the same woman as on the Brown Shipley website ? http://www.brownshipley.co.uk
