The local free paper should be able to help. Not sure on what day it comes out for you. I know tonight was a freezing night and this morning it is -2 here I hope and pray that someone has took foxy in and he's not running about in this weather.

Life is so unfair - here you are, you would give ANYTHING to find Foxy, and pay WHATEVER the cost for him to return back home - and yet, there are people so cold and callous, they won't bring their dog home because it costs too much? Ahhh I could scream at these people I really could.
Come on Foxy, you must have had enough late-night partying by now, let's hear that you've gotten home safe and sound buddy xx"Your life is what your thoughts make it"

I haven't read every single reply regarding Foxy, so I apologise if I'm repeating what someone else has already said:
Have you considered putting a 'WANTED: Help to Find Missing Pet' on your local Freegle/Freecycle..? It might be an odd message on there, and you might need to clear it with the moderators first, but it would reach a lot of people and get the word out locally. We also have a 'Cafe' group attached to our Freegle, a seperate message board used for general chat and making friends - if you have one then I'd post on that board also...
I'd also drop into all the local hairdressers/barbers, beauty salons etc etc - you know how they like a good [STRIKE]gossip[/STRIKE] chinwag in those places, Foxy is bound to get a mention and who knows who might be listening?"Your life is what your thoughts make it"

I have started asking on a few sites I chat on. I was thinking if anyone is a member of Bingo or gaming sites could they please spread the word in the chat rooms. Its worth a try.
Also the postman/woman, maybe they have seen a new dog in residence on their deliveries. Surely someone must know something.
As for Paul O`G we tried for months to get his help a while ago, we never got a reply.
If you have any email addys and you want us to send "a please help" (the more the better I think) then feel free to PM me them.
I wish I was nearer I would start a door knocking campaign. Fingers are still crossed here for a happy ending.

Just popped on to catch up, always praying for good news when you log onto something like this - it's so heartwrenching, because as a dog owner, you can put yourselves in the other persons position and imagine their worry and pain.
I will repost the link on my FB page. I really wish I could do more to help. x
PS Solar, if you ever want a "virtual shoulder" so to speak, please send a message anytime. Jo0 -
I also put a message on the lampost forums of www.doggysnaps.com
it's free to join the site, so if any of you do we will be able to bump the thread up on a regular basis x0 -
Contacted the Stoke dog warden today as I had been told they had picked up a terrier of similar description. My heart leapt but sadly it was not Foxy. This dog was microchipped but the person to whom he was registered had apparently passed him on and the new owner had not updated his details, so the warden was trying to find his current owner. Been to 2 dogs homes it breaks my heart to see so many unwanted dogs and yet the one I so desperately back cannot be found.0

Before I say anything else, want to say that no dog owner could do more than you have so far. Foxy certainly has good people on his side.
So to practicals. Your thread has thrown up misgivings as to chipping.
Every Vet should scan a new dog. Mine regularly scans in case the chip has moved or whatever.
Every rescue should own or share a chip reader, available for under £150. If they can't afford one outright, share it. That would save fraught owners like you Solar, getting their hopes up at a look alike dog.
That's for future discussion, Foxy is the most vital at present.
So, the Cannock connection should not be abandoned, but think further afield.
What roads from Foxy's home lead where? Which is the main truck route?
What I'm thinking, is someone passing through picked him up and he is a hundred or more miles away. He must be alive, or after all your efforts you would have heard.
A neighbour in S Wales seeing the appeal wouldn't dream that the dog she just passed was Foxy because Foxy was lost from the W Mids!
Do you see where I'm going?
The search on facebook etc is commendable but now needs to be Nationwide as it seems Foxy is in someone's home being treated as their pet.
If you live in S or N Wales, Scotland or the south of England, please look for Foxy.
Are there any truck stops, burger joint car parks where Foxy may have hung around and been lifted from?
The search has to expand in whatever direction you think Solar, but I think beyond Cannock.
Having said that, are you near the Moors?0 -
I am in South Yorkshire but I have aslo told my friends in Scotland to be on the lookout, as we are doing here in Yorkshire.
In fact I will print off some copies of Foxys picture (ifs thats ok) and ask the local rescue centres and Vets to put them up and also to watch out for him.
