MISSING PETS please post here

I've posted it on my facebook several times I have friends up and down the country. I can email all the other surrounding DHL Depot's in hope that someone spots him. I really do hope that someone has picked him up and he's not out in this freezing cold weather. I hope he's ok, I check this thread and facebook constantly to see if there is any update.
Sad that Paul Ogrady and grahame norton haven't responded. Will any local radio shows do a shout out or anything??

From a fellow whippet owner, I truly hope you find her soon.
Best wishes.0 -
did a long post and my internet went off:mad:
really sorry - feel for you (we have greyhounds).
would just like to offer some advice from when my cat was attacked and ran off (disappeared for a week).
google 'missing dog help' etc and try whatever you can, however silly it might seem.
we went out every night as it is quieter, with a strong torch to point everywhere. took out biscuits to rattle and an open can etc of fav food.
also leave one or two of your dog's items outside to help use smell to find way home. i even tried positive visualisation too.
many laughed at me and thought i was mad - but didn't care when he came back a week later (very worse for wear, but still with us now at 15).
animals have a great survival instinct, and many dogs live 'rough' etc.
wishing you all the best, will be thinking of you and your dog x0 -
Is she micro-chipped? Have you contacted local dog wardens?0

Solar, is your local paper the express & star??0

The only local radio who made an appeal was Ed Dolan on Radio WM Thanks Ed, Beacon and Heart FM both refused. None of the media seems to be interested in a lost dog.
I find this frustrating as they are only where they are because people like me and fellow MSE members buy their papers and listen to them, without us they would not have a show. But ask for help and 'lost dog stories is not something we would want to run with'. Sorry to sound so negative but I just cannot see how I can possibly get him back without some sort of National media publicity.
ickle_me - you are right my local paper is the Express and Star who published details that he was missing , but only where he went missing from and the fact the he was a fox terrier. I sent a picture but this was not published ( I think this would have made all the difference). I am going to go back to them to see if they can help further. I had already posted a lost notice in their paper and will put a still missing ad in for the weekend.
On one hand I hope that someone has picked him up and that they are looking after him as I would not want him living rough in this weather, but clearly if someone has found him either they have taken him out of the area and are not aware that they should notify the local council and dog warden where they found him or they have decided that hey want to keep him and not bothered contacting the council at all. In which case my only hope is that someone will recognise him from his photo on here or facebook and get in touch, so that I can try to get him back. Please continue to join the facebook group and post on here as this keeps him freach in peoples minds.
Thank you all0 -

Really sorry to hear yet another 'lost dog' story - I'd go out of my mind with worry, it's most pet owners worst nightmare.
All I can suggest is going out and bombarding your neighbourhood with information and contact details - newsagents, supermarket noticeboards, passers-by in the street, ads in your local newspaper, also search the internet for any chat forums specific to your area, an ad on your local Freegle if the mods will allow it, flyers through letterboxes...
I hope you find her safe and sound very soon xx"Your life is what your thoughts make it"

R.i.P our beautiful girl Suki. We'll love and miss you forever

Sorry to hear your dog is lost my dog is a border collie cross with a whippet I hope you find her soon as I know they are very fast dogs! Have you put her on doglost?
I hope that someone took her in last night as it is really cold.
I'll spread the word like I have with foxy

I don't think it's so much that they don't care about a lost dog. More that if they accept your appeal Solar, it will be followed by hundreds more!
I see the Sunday People has a pet page and invite reader's stories. The only way I can see Foxy being featured anywhere is to turn the story to a humorist or humanist view. Either the dog who didn't want a bath or, how Foxy is vital to his owner's stroke recovery, with the appeal and phone number in the last line.
If you went with either of those stories it would need to be laid on thick. Artistic license and all that.
Yes tasteless I know, but the media is as a whole and needs must!0
