Just rang them as we had F1 included in the Variety pack but it has been removed and I have paid my bill on 18 Jan. So I complained and got 24.50 credit off my Feb bill.
Forgot to say I only cancelled the TV package
Not too bad a deal0 -
First post - taking inspiration from you all and trying to haggle down Sky!
With them for for 11 yrs - We have Variety and Sports (55.50) with something called HD mix (11.25) per month plus BB (free unltd until July) and Anytime calls (25.40 inc line rental) currently total £92.15 per month (!!).
I've given notice to cancel and they have come back with 50% off TV package only and no contract so that's a good start! Any advice for what I can try next please?
And what is the "HD mix" please? I can't find it anywhere on the Sky site - dates back to when our bundle was called entertainment extra.
Thanks for reading this0 -
thanks - do Sky ever discount the Hd mix and any tips for getting some credit please? So far, they will only give 50% off the TV package which is still good (down to £66.40 from £92.15!) but wondering if I can do better.0

I got the 60% discount applied to all elements of the package I'm on, including the "HD pack" when I negotiated renewal in October.0

Just thought I'd report back on my phone and broadband deal. Last week I did live chat and was offered free broadband and 10months line rental at £9.99. I declined this as last year I got free line rental. After waiting a few days and fearing I'd made a mistake, I'd been told I wouldn't be offered this new deal again, I contacted the reinstate team. Today I agreed a new contract for £7.50 for BB and free line rental. So with my tv deal of 60% off and £50 credit I'm very happy.
Total monthly bill.
Family pack with sports and films £28.20
BB, pay as you go talk, line rental £7.50
Less £50 divided by 12 months. -£4.17
Total per month £31.53
Total yearly Saving £766.400 -
I phoned up Sky last night and said due to the fact I now have Netflix and don't watch much Sky tv I'd like to cancel the TV as only have Variety HD and it's over £41 a month. I still have Broadband and Phone though.
Without having to cancel it they reduced the TV by £16 and made the broadband free (£7.50) and I cancelled the evening and weekend rubbish they are throwing on to everyone (£4).
My bill for the next year has reduced per month from £73 down to £46.
I probably could've got a bit more if I carried on with my cancellation but I'm happy with £27 a month saving.0 -
I pay £82 a month for sky have every package except Sports, (have 1 multiroom and HD).
I want Fibre, Sky now offer this for me (just been enabled at the exchange) I've told them I would move my phoneline and Broadband to them but wanted to reduce the whole bill.
All they would offer me was the £10 a month fiber deal (Half price- which I could have got as an upgrade anyway), no reduction on phone line and £12 off my tv package. I've been with them for 6 years and have always paid full price.. very disappointing. Have now cancelled and will see if they offer my anything else.0 -
Our Sky contract isn't up until June, but they have sent an email offering 20% off our monthly bill for 10 months.
Is this a good deal?
Currently pay £46 a month for TV (including Sky Sports), phone and internet including the line rental.
Also, OH really wants to add BT Sport0 -
So I did it I cancelled it, the offers they were giving me weren't good enough so I cancelled!
What happens now will they offer me deals in my email how long do I wait?0
