Sky Phone & Broadband.
Last years deal was 12 months free line rental, 12 month Broadband at £7.50 per month.
This year, they wanted Line Rental at £17.40 with Free Broadband. We signed up to another provider, which usually forces them to give a good deal.
Other provider is being installed on Tuesday, today I contacted them via Live Chat and was offered.
Phone Line £9.99 for 10 months (saving £7.41 per month)
Free Broadband for 12 months
£14.82 (2x £7.41) account credit for them months which are not £9.99
In Short, we are paying £2.44 per month more compared with last years deal. This is for Phone and Broadband.
We have Sky Variety, Movies and Sports for £25.60 a month, however that's a different deal/contract (60% off with £100 credit).0 -

I'd be a bit worried that the new ISP installation will still go ahead - BT Openreach are noted for their very sloooow reaction to changes so keep your fingers crossed !!!:)0 -
Our existing deal with Sky expires in February. When would anyone suggest getting in touch with them again to begin negotiations - is it too early to do it now?0

I've got Plus tv, unlimited broadband and phone.
My phone package includes free anytime calls to landlines and (because of the cyber attack) free calls to mobiles for a year.
I signed a new 18 month contract in October and got this deal...
Talk Talk have paid for my line rental for a whole year up front. They have also given me a half price call plan for the entire length of my contract (£20 reduced to £10 a month) All I pay then is £10 a month for a year and then £10 plus the line rental for the remaining 6 months of my contract. In 18 months I would have saved £180 in call plan charges and around £200 for the line rental. That's £380 saved.
I don't rate Talk Talk's customer service, but it just goes to show you how much you can save with a few phone calls.0 -

First through "My Sky", then "Review My Package", then "Thinking of removing Sky Broadband" link at the bottom.
From here, Live Chat box was Green and away I went. I found if I was online around 9am, I would speak to someone in the UK.0 -
18 month contract ending in March with BT. I have unlimited infinity 1, free calls evenings and weekends, entertainment TV package with kids extra add-on and also BT Sport. Current price for this package is £63.19 and guy offered to drop to approx £39.50 to re-new for another 12 months.
My first thoughts, without checking the forum, is that this is actually a pretty decent deal. Problem is that my time with them has not what i would call trouble-free. Guy said he saw this against my account and that is why he made such an offer.
I have an email contact at the executive complaints team and might ask him if he can give me a mail to confirm if things go 'up the left' again i can leave without any charge. I forgot to mention i can leave at the moment without any early termination charge because of the hassles i've had in the past 15 months and have this in writing.
If i can continue with this clause in place i just may go for it knowing i have this get out of jail card.
Any thoughts on the price guys or anything else for that matter!

Agreed I`d say it`s a very competitive price.
Care to elaborate on the issues you`ve had with BT?3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

Sure.....most of if was in the first 6 months when i kept getting red/orange etc lights on router and loss of service. I also had an issue with them regarding speeds i was getting. I think i'm on my fourth Hub 5 and i've had about 4/5 engineer visits who've confirmed there is nothing wrong with my setup.
To put this into context i left Sky Fibre and got consistent high teens/20 mbps and got an estimate of between 18-25mbps at point of sale when i ordered with BT. However, initially my router kept dropping connection and their solution was to keep sending a new one. They can't all be duff. Also, the speeds just do not seem to match Sky. I don't why that is...it just is. Speed drops to 13/14 sometimes which didn't happen with Sky. I can't explain it as, with my limited knowledge, moving from Sky Fibre to Infinity was essentially the same product??
My final issue was the £5 charge for BT sport they started charging me. They NEVER advised me and and even if they did i contested it as i was an existing broadband AND tv customer.
PS-i think if i say that their CS is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike that probably covers all the above. They're hopeless..you need to try and go up the ladder to anything sorted. My advice would be get prints/ screenies of livechats because you may well need them down the line if you hit trouble.0 -
What kind of deals are people getting for Sky broadband? Current deal finishes in 2 weeks and am planning on calling this week. TIA.0
