OK - I've run into an issue.
My cancellation date is 02 Feb and I called up today see what they can offer, but they are unable to do anything as they cannot cancel the original cancellation of services.
Word of warning -anyone wanting to go through with the threat and see what they offer - don't cancel the broadband!!
Or if anyone else knows how I can not lose any bb services, it would be much appreciated! Even if it means going with someone else (I have fibre and really don't want to lose it)
Thanks
I cancelled my phone, broadband and TV on 29th December and was able to reverse the cancellation of my phone and broadband on Tuesday. It took a few days to confirm everything but all done today and received a phone call saying that's it done. Only difference is I don't have fibre so I suppose that may be treated differently.0 -
Tried online chat and was phoned back once I said I was cancelling. Was offered 20% off tv which was more than I'm currently paying. Was told that phone & bb won't be turned off until my new provider contacts sky and would be 2 weeks from then??0

I understand you can only have one offer applied to your TV account at a time, but my 25% off offer comes to and end start of March, do I need to wait til the 31 days prior to this to cancel or can I do it now and fish for a better deal? I`m on a rolling contract I believe.
I`m not sure whether or not they would scrap my current offer (even though it still has a while to run) and offer a better one. Anyone know? Can you please share with us:
What number did you used to get those nice offers ?
Is there a better time of the day when to call ?
Are they (Win me back dept.) working weekends ?
I only got through to someone (a woman, on an afternoon) asking if she can try to get me a good deal, when I called 03442 411 653 to correct something on my account. I assume there was some alert on my account as the CSR was very eager to transfer me to "cancellations". She offered straight away 5/month Fibre Unlim./12 months, but on a 18 month contract (full price Tel Line). Asked for 12 month contract, she said not possible. Did not ask about TV.
When I called 03332 022 135 (a relatively valid reason), on both occasion (men, young voices) they didn't even bother to ask why I'm leaving (have TV, Multi, BB and TL). Quite condescending I would say.
Also, nothing on My Sky.
PS: For those that don't want to bother with haggling, Quidco has some good offers for existing cust./upgrades. For Fibre Unlimited they have 6 months free and 125 quid cashback.
The discounts available at the time of cancellation weren't good enough for me. I only had Sky for a year and warned my son that we may not have it any longer because I was willing to go ahead and disconnect.
2 weeks after disconnected some outbound team called me. I felt I had the upper hand as they had called me!I have enough money to last me the rest of my life... unless I buy something.0 -
Had a new (to me at least) offer on Sunday.
My phone and BB are still with Sky until August, but I cancelled TV a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I was called and offered 50% off for 10 months which I rejected. I'm currently on a 75% off deal.
The new offer was for me to pay £15 p/m for 12 months for line rental, broadband and the ability to still use the TV box as a freesat recorder. In their words "we'd rather that you kept using the box than sell it on eBay as it will be cheaper for us to reactivate your TV at a later date".
I rejected this offer as well, but thought I'd mention it in case it would suit others who are going to let the TV lapse but still want to record BBC/ITV etc.0 -
Just had a missed call from an 0800 number, when I called back it was a sky marketing number. Will they ring again?0

been offered 50% off for 12 months having cancelled 5-6 months ago0

Just come back to Sky after 10 months away....
60% off for 10 months (no contract)
£25 installation as I've moved
£50 credit on my bill
Fairly chuffed with that0 -
Yes, it becomes a freesat box.
No, the recorded programs will stop working.
With regards to reconnection, I'm not too sure. I would doubt it. They don't usually make it easy.
That's not right mate, if you've recorded something it stays there after disconnection you can't access it but you will regain access once reconnected just leave the recording on the box.
On my own note its been 1.5 months without sky sports struggling without wiziwig, rojadirecta pales in comparison.0
