  • I cancelled and it was switched off yesterday.

I didn't answer any calls off sky as I leave my phone at home while I'm at work.

Where on my sky are the offers?

When will I get the call or letter with the good offers?

    I miss it :(
  • Key is always to let it go off though, then you hold all the cards.

However just remember that the longer it is off the more you realise you can live without sky.

We only came back a couple of years ago because the offered it completely free for 4 months, which they then repeated another 3 times, and then we got 75% off for a year, which has just finished.

We've cancelled and it is now off, but I've had multiple calls from their retentions team in Derby (01332 number) which I've just ignored, so they will offer big again soon but just not bothered.

If you log into your Sky account then you should click on "My SKY" at the top. The first thing at the top of the page should be the "come back to SKY" deal. Most people seem to indicate this is 35% when you first give notice to cancel, going up to 50% near switch off, and even 60% after switch off.
  • Well I have cancelled my TV, phone and broadband today after being offered 40% off TV for 6 months only. Would have considered if it was for a full 12 months so decided to cancel.

Strangely though I've only received an email to confirm cancellation of my Broadband/phone and no mention of the TV - is that right?

Negotiated a new deal for sky tv yesterday via live chat. £6.50 per month for the basic package for 12 months instead of £21.50. Thought this seemed like a pretty good deal.
  • Well just had a 35 min call with the "retention" team over cancelling my full account. Currently paying £87 for full service no movies and regular 4mb BB.
Best he could offer (in his words) after 9 years of service was ,fibre, £17 discount for 6 month and a one off £5 per year discount......
With bt offering there full service with fibre and SS1 for £60 and a £125 voucher
Sky is still being turned off.....
Do you think anything might happen??

    Yes.

If you read the last few pages of this thread you will see.
  • I've got 11 days to go before switch off - best they offered me was 50% on a rolling contract for a year (rising from 35% initially). I told them I wasn't interested - am happy to switch to Now TV for what little Sky I watch if they don't want to make me a better offer (and Now TV is in HD too!)

    Afternoon All,

Just wondering if someone can answer this for me. People who are getting the big offers, are you cancelling everything (phone, BB and TV)? I rung today to see what I could get and best they could offer was 10% off the TV and 35% off line rental. If I went ahead and cancelled the TV package though the line rental offer wouldn't be available so id be paying £16.40 line rental and £7.50 BB. I can't really leave the BB as we have a good coverage here with them and the only other option is BT (we can't get virgin or some of the others where we live) and BT is way more expensive.

So my question again, do you have to cancel the whole package to get the good offers?! If I cancelled TV but stayed for BB and phone would they not offer me anything?

Thank you in advance, hope this makes sense!

If serious about BT then order via Quidco too, there is an extra £200 cashback that way too, as well as the Sainsbury's Voucher.

I'm heading that way in time for the Champions League next season.
