Just got off the phone to cancel my package with 31 days remaining... Was told that as I have had offers in the past there will be no more offers sent either through the post or on My sky...
Just checked Mysky and all the ticks have been removed from my marketing preferences... Very sneaky move by the sky operative..
I have re-ticked the boxes and pressed save...The wait will now begin..
Over the phone the best he could offer was 20% off which I declined..
Mysky shows, re-join Sky and get 35% off your package!!0 -
Thank you, will just wait, I just picked a wrong time to cancel with christmas really :rotfl:
I looked online but all it says under offers and upgrades is Unfortunately we are unable to show your exclusive offers available online. To continue or for more information, please call 03442 411 818.
Maybe its too soon as was only the last day it went off :rotfl:
When I rang to cancel tv,they were happy to let me go and would only do a paltry offer on phone/bb, to which they then added 50% off tv. As phone/bb was my priority, I declined.
Two weeks later, when it became time to sort phone/bb, I got a better offer on this and an immediate 50% tv offer.
I had a good excuse to call back, as the previous caller failed to ring me at the set time promised. This time I got what I wanted with phone/bb, then asked about tv and was offered 50%, which I took as the other offer was so good. £10 was added unasked for.0 -

Had similar call with a stroppy lady myself. Was even told Pay TV was not a right it was a luxury
The day ours went off it changed to 50% off or a free tablet.
Been off for 2 weeks now and it's staying off, not missed it in the slightest. Not had a 60% off yet though.0 -

...when I cancelled, I had a target in my mind, of < £5 per week for the 12 month period - the 50 % discount and cash bung I got (only 1 day after the service was switched off), took it down to £4.82 per week - so I settled.:)0 -

I think I might just let it switch off and see how we get on... The kids never get off their Iphones so probably won't even notice it has switched off. It will have to be an out of this world offer to make us consider joining again.0 -
MSE, I read your latest weekly email and noticed the Sky OnDemand and Box Sets link. We currently have Sky OnDemand with a sports package added to an Original package. Does this disqualify us from getting Box Sets or qualifies us? Your related article doesnt clarify.0

I misread originally so this is an edit.
For TV box sets on-demand, you need to be subscribed to the Sky Family Bundle. Original only gives you catch-up.

Got the 33% off phone call today (3 week until switchoff) "best they can do". So I left it at still switching off.
We'll either get to 50%, or not, we'll see.0 -
35% off TV, rolling 31 days notice (no extra contract) offered on phone call today. Nothing on Phone/BB front.0

Hi, I gave sky 31 days notice on the 17th December as our 50% off was ending next month, only had to wait 2 days this time
The retention steam called on the 19th and offered 50% off for 12 months plus a £50 credit on a rolling contract with hardly any haggling
we have the family bundle with sports and movies for £33 month.
Last year we had to let the sky go off and were without the tv service for 3 weeks so I'm glad it didn't go that far, hubby was moaning like mad about missing the football!
I don't know if it made a difference that we only have the tv service now, they didn't offer me a good enough reason to stay with them for phone/ broadband last month so I switched to BT, maybe they thought I might have meant it this time!
