    Hi,

What's the current best number to call to haggle please, or can the online chat be just as good ? Sorted out a really good deal last time but due to a bereavement forgot all about it coming to an end and it shot up to £70 + last month so need to re-sort a deal

    Thx

Have you tried the 0330 number in my picture, a few pages back?

You could start with.. "Hi, ive had a missed call from this number?"

Update to post 7043. As others have said, 35% off TV package for 12 months appeared on My Sky a couple of hours after asking to cancel. Missed a few calls from Retention but was in and answered a call today. Offered 35% off for 10 months. Politely said what My Sky was showing was better but not enough to tempt me. After "speaking with my manager" i was offered 50% off TV and 35% off HD, £37.16 for ten months. I then asked if it would be possible to have that deal for 12 months and was advised i can. I am pleased with this outcome, a saving of £409 for the year. I appreciate that some folk will think i could have done better by waiting until after the cancellation date but i am happy it is sorted at a price i find acceptable and off my radar now.

My advice to others would be to think about what is an acceptable deal for you personally and politely ask if it is available when you speak with Retentions.

    Breaking into the MSE Way..

    HD...

    Do you want it?
    Do you need it?

We went without HD, we figured its a waste..

Called Sky to get a reduction as I was on Variety (with channels I rarely watch) with Half Price Multi room £43.87

They said I could get a £15 credit on my account for 10 months so I reduced down to Original with HD and still half price multi room now pay £22.37 with Sky Go Extra. Contemplating taking the HD off as it would then reduce to £12.12

Isnt Sky Go Extra £5 per month? Could you ditch that?

I would push the £15 credit for 12 months, as explain you will be faced with 2 months at full price, and no one wants that...

Multi-Room --> We have Sky TV in all rooms, its fed from a I/O Box from the port on the box, we have to watch what is on that Tv. You have Multi-Room, if you drop Multi-Room off, and have FreeSat on the other box. What channels will you miss? Can you not patch the Sky box though to that Tv.?

Thanks for the update, 50% off is what I'm hoping for. Cancelled on Tuesday and so far nothing :( MySky is only offering me multiscreen for £11.25 a month or £100 for introducing a friend.

Yes, happy to have HD. I summarised the outcome of the call; the guy asked if i wanted to keep it or not.

    Hi, you are welcome! :)

The My Sky page seems to load differently depending on how you access it. Try going to Google, typing in Sky then picking My Sky from the results. I saw my offer that way but not if i logged in by typing sky.com in my browser on my iPad.

Good luck, i hope you get a deal that suits you...

Just tried that and while the home screen changes, the offers screen didn't :( Thanks anyway!

I would drop Sky for Virgin in a heartbeat (had it at my old house from back in the NTL days) but unfortunately I can't get it where I live now :( Thanks anyway.
