Cancelled SKY which ended 23 Nov..

Got offer through webpage off 50% off any SKY TV Bundle...

    1. Does this offer include Sports, HD Pack and Multiroom? (when creating bundle on web for new customer u can select all things)

    2. How would I go about contacting webchat and asking for more discount - whats the best way to word it to not come across badly :)

    Thanks

Since the offer is specific to you, no one here can definitely say what it includes-although deals are usually for the main part of the subscription with peripherals excluded.

You don't ask for more, you just refuse each offer until the offer meets your requirements (or they give up and let you cancel).

The offer is the generic 50% bundle OR free Samsung Galaxy Tablet..... so I don't think its user specific - Just want to know what is included with it :)

Read another post about asking for better offer when offered the same... just wondered how to word it the best :)
  • I am in the last few days (minus 1 month for notice) of 75% discount no contract on full package (Sports/Movies) and £100 credit.
I paid about £7 a month on average this year.
Am aiming to cancel within 5 minutes of the call so should be fun.
All I intend to say is I want at least the same package with at least 60% discount and £100 credit. Willing to actually contract again as would like to ensure everything full HD which is always available to the same discount.
Am willing to bet I can be such a pain as to get the cancelation done in 5 minutes.
Absolutely 100% don't expect to get what I want till the lights go out so the short phonecall is my only aim.

Well found a Freephone number that worked 08000963624 so it did take a little longer to get through to retentions. 3 minute call in total. Asked if I was only interested in 75%. I said no I would accept 60% and a credit and would upgrade to full HD.
She said no can do and processed.
    Simples.
    Switch of Boxing day.
  • On the My Sky, My Package screen -
on the extreme left there are a series of green ticks. This indicates services that have been bought and working as far as I can tell.

However there are also curled green arrows. I have one against MultiScreen. (The engineer is coming on Thursday this week to do the install).

Is the curly arrow a graphic to indicate work in progress?

    Yes it is.
  • Thanks!

I was getting in a flap as I ordered Family Bundle, Movies and Multi Screen - but only Variety Bundle is ticked. The Family Bundle and Multi Screen have the curly arrow. The current monthly package charge is not quite accurate either.

Suppose Ill wait till the bloke installs and see what's what next.

Already £90 ish a month to Virgin and a lovely letter saying it's going up by £5.89 a month from February

I think we'll be going elsewhere.
