The discount will appear when you click the My Sky tab, it won't be in the offers section.
My offer was 33% off on the same day as cancelling, went on to live chat straight away and was offered 50% without me having to do anything.
    [STRIKE]CC1: £354.35 / £354.35[/STRIKE]
    CC2: £390 / £1475.98
    Boiler: £1500 / £2500
    [STRIKE]Overdraft: £1000 / £1000[/STRIKE]
    Emergency Fund : £20

...doesn't always work - Sky wouldn't budge from the 35% discount until the signal was actually switched off -it then "leapt" to 50% and I negotiated a cash credit as well as the 50% the day after; if you are prepared to resist for a couple of weeks after, then it looks like you can get even better deals -60% plus £100 bill credit seem to be the best lately.:T

I had exactly the same (though I think the advertised discount was 35%), online chat offered 50% with almost no prompting.

  • Cancelled sky today, they offered me 8 months at £42.50 for sky sports and the entertainment pack versus the full price of £52.50.

Does anyone know if it's likely that sky will contact me before I am disconnected?

I am not too concerned at losing sky sports as most footy matches are readily accessible on the internet these days, even the 3pm Saturday games.

I cancelled today, and instantly got this (see below). Does anyone know if this will be increased as we get closer to disconnection?

Stay with Sky and get an exclusive 25% off Sky TV for 12 months, plus a free Sky+ box.
  • Already had a result, within one hour of cancelling on chat have been offered 50% off for 12 months. Snap accepted happy days :).

I cant be bothered playing games for a month to get further discounts.

Some of us didn't get any offers. I only got my tv reduction ( after cancellation) because I asked when negotiating for bb/phone.

Rabiddogger, if your father is on his own, then reducing the multiroom seems a sensible economy.
  • I want to thank every one, including the person that sent me a link to a 50% deal! Using all your good advice I hung on and got a very good deal - at least I was satisfied with it.

Oh the reason why I went for a multi room deal when I don't need it - was that I calculated that as long as I pay the 12 months subscriptions I own both boxes outright and selling one will effectively make the 12 months multi screen free of charge.

Once again thanks to EVERYONE! See you next year about the same time when I need encouragement to have a haggle!

...don't think they give you a 2nd Sky+ box for multiroom - its just a standard receiver,no recording -so not worth a lot when flogged 2nd hand:)
