  • Interesting...how long since you quit? Does their offer include phone and broadband?
I'm out of contract in 3 weeks so have given notice to cancel. Just had the 35% off phonecall (declined) and then offered 50% off but would've had to commit to 18 mths on phone/fibre optic so declined that too. Just trying to work out whether it's worth it switching off and then re-joining...!

Offer is TV only, 12 month contract, and I got it by email. I left Sky in April I think.

I won't be taking it since all I care about is Sky Sports HD and that no longer works on my HTPC.

    Hi All,

I signed up for Sky today - I got the following on a 12 Month Contract:

    1) Basic Unlimited Broadband
    2) Family Pack TV
    3) Upgrade To Anytime Calls
    4) Line Rental

For £15.40pm plus £5 extra for the Anytime Calls for a total of £21.40pm. I have to pay £25 installation but apparently get £50 back in Vouchers.

I had to add on the Sky Asia TV Pack for an additional £15pm which they just refused point blank to give any deals on despite my informing them that Virgin are offering their full Asia TV Package for free for a full year!

It was the same story with the Multi-Room - Virgin offered it free of charge but Sky refused any movement on it.

I really would have liked Fibre but they only offered £10 for 6 months & then £20 a month afterwards with a £50 set up charge for the 38Mb version which did not seem that great a deal overall compared to others?

I would like to ask, has anyone managed to get (or how to) possibly get a deal on Multi-Room & Fibre when Sky call you up to arrange the setting up of things? I ask, as I am presuming they always want you to add things on at the last moment & just saw they they have an offer for half price Multi-Room as well as a deal for Fibre at £5 a month for 12mths & then £20pm for the next 6mths!!!

I would also like to ask, do they provide you a basic crappy router or the latest "N" one assuming that is the best?

    Many Thanks!

Been offered 60% off any package plus £100 credit to go back to Sky. That'd make the most basic package 27p per month, lol.
    Just realised if I include Santander 123 cashback, it'd cost 1p/month. :D
  • I've just negotiated a £161 reduction in my broadband/phone package with TalkTalk. I just asked fro my MAC code and was put through to the Loyalty Dept. I told them that I was thinking of going to EE Anytime as it was considerably cheaper. He immediately offered a £50 credit to my account. I told him that this was nowhere near enough so he offered to reduce my monthly bill by £9.25 a month for 12 months as well, as long as I signed a new 12 month contract. This saved me £161 which is more than EE offered and without the hassle of changing.

    Thanks Martin!
  • I've lurked on this thread for a while but never posted, so thought I'd share my experience today...

I cancelled Sky TV / Multiroom / Fibre / Phone about 2 weeks ago, having already decided to take BT Infinity instead, and hoping I'd get an offer on the TV.

No phone calls or emails, but today was offered 35% on My Sky. I went onto live chat, and just asked what's the best discount they could give me. Straight away offered 60% off my current family package and sports. Wouldn't budge on multiroom, which I was happy to cancel anyway as I never really use it, and also insisted on full price HD.

So, I've ended up with a package that should cost £62.75 for £28.25. That price is for 12 months.

I asked for a credit to my account too, but she wouldn't do that. I'm still happy with the price though. Certainly beats the £1.50 discount they offered me off my TV when I initially called to cancel!!

Got given a 100% TV discount for a year, free broadband and reduced £14 monthly line rental. Great deal for me.

Within 5 minutes got an email upping the offer to 35% for 12 months!! :rotfl:
Looks like I'll be playing the long game til it all goes off -I'll get my S-I-L' s log in for Sky Go as emergency back up for late October.;)
