  • Plusnet are brilliant, but when I saw the recent deal with Talktalk for 5 pounds a month broadband, we couldn't really ignore it.
Rang Plusnet to say sorry but can I have mac code - to be asked why I was leaving - explained and they matched talktalk! :)
Delighted as didn't want to leave!

Mine has been 24 hours and still nothing showing up there. My login screen still shows "Win one of ten great prizes including a 40" Samsung Smart 3D TV and Galaxy Tab."

Did speak to someone who was quite rude so hoping they have not put on the system to just not give me anything! :s

My log in screen shows the same. I did have a call offering me about 20% off but nothing online at all.

Bearing in mind I gave notice of cancellation only 2 days ago. I went onto the online sky chat and asked to speak to the winback team. The guy said he was from winback. I got offered 50% one time only deal. I refused it as I want an ondemand wireless connector which they have previously refused to supply to me free because I already use ondemand.
I am holding out to get either the 60% or 50% with the wireless connector.

Just surprising though after 48 hours I have already been offered 50% off

m frustrated with Sky at the moment. Since they bought O2 broadband I became a sky customer having never been with Sky in my life. Now I want to get Sky TV and see all these 50% deals (such as the voucher code in this weeks newsletter and the offer to virgin customers) but they aren't interested in letting me anywhere near that.
Seems they'd rather I didn't get Sky TV at all!
    Nice to save.

They have a £100 pre paid mastercard offer - effectively £100 cashback - showing on their site at the moment.

Combine that with the Quicdo cash back and that will get you your 50% (if not more).

With an existing contract I managed to get TalkTalk to £132 line rental (upfront) and £2.25 Broadband a year, with a free YouView Box and £100 lovetoshop voucher by quoting the current EE deal with £120 voucher - so altogether they came in £3 under the current EE deal.

I am swapping to EE anyway though - as I have more use for the Amazon voucher and the YouView Box doesn't work in my area (sat dishes).

    UPDATE:
EE were going to charge me £60 New Line Installation and £30 for an engineer to install it. I called them today threatening to go back to TalkTalk and they waived the fee for me. (Incidentally Quidco are currently doing £130 cashback for new EE Broadband).

Unfortunately Sky have a VERY bad reputation when it comes to paying out cashback and you have to wait 8 months at full price for it.
I just dont understand why they will do that offer for "new" customers but not for someone who has never signed up to Sky TV. :(
    Nice to save.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
