Don't even think it's been a week since we cancelled and after getting home each day I've seen about three or four missed calls from sky.
I'll only be going back if the discount is 50% or more.
I've seen the odd person in the past state they have been offered sky free for a certain period of time. Has anyone been offered this recently?0 -

this is what i think is strange with Sky, as our tv got turned off start of last week (so around a week now) and we have not had a single attempt at contact, ok so im not bothered as i have started the process of going with BT as there offer works out at about £45 a month for everything we want, plus bt sports so Sky would have had to offer me a minimum of 50% of tv fibre broadband and line rental to get it close, which i doubt they would do, it just seems strange they havent bothered with us but they seem to really chase others, guess im not a money maker for them with what we used and paid forDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -

Mortgage free II: New Year's Eve 2013!
Mortgage free III: Est. Dec 2021...0 -

There's a good chance 50% off is in ur mysky offers. If its not there you could just call them and see what they would offer you to come back( it wasn't there for me but I called and got it+ credit) Once you take that you could add sky sports pack and activate ss5 and recieve 1/2 price fiber for 12 months. Could always ask for a discount on the Phoneline and see what they say.
I would strongly siggest avoiding BT if at all possible. They are the nut worst for CS and always missed up my bills.0 -
true. i paying £22.05 including 10%. which would have then gone up to £27. as the offer would have ended next month. at first it was going to cost me £33. so got down to £24.42.0

I've been a Sky customer without interruption for the past 16 years and have just plodded along wilfully paying top dollar without seeking the best deals. 3 months ago our 1TB 3D Sky+ box encountered problems resulting in us having to reset and losing 70% of unwatched programmes. The box has just died again with no ability to power up. I have just phoned Sky and bearing in mind, I have Broadband Unlimited, Sky Talk, Multiroom, Movies and Sports, paying £102 a month for the privilege, the best they offered me is an engineer at £65 and the prospect of a 250gb reconditioned box with 3 month warranty, or pay an extra £65 and get unlimited call outs and replacements with a reconditioned box for a 6 month period. When I queried why any sane person would pay £130 for an old box, I was offered a 2TB box for £400 or, for my loyalty one at a cost of £264. When I said that was too much, a brand new 250gb box for £214. I told the CS agent that existing customers on the website offers we're being offered the 2TB box, taking the family bundle for £5p/mth at just £49 he said he couldn't match it.
I'm phoning cancellations in the morning. I'm either being taken advantage of my blind loyalty or unlucky... ? Can anyone advise when a cancelled customer is regarded as a new customer with "enticing" offers? 3 months, 6 months, a year?0 -

12 months.
However, if you put your cancellation notice in and give them your reasons, the chances are they will probably offer you a free engineer call out to stop you from going. If your box does need to be replaced though, it would be with a reconditioned one most likely.0 -

I was going to write definitely, but I have heard anecdotal evidence to suggest some people got a new one after sweet talking the engineer and said engineer then realising he has 'run out' of reconditioned boxes.
I can't confirm either way though, so thought I'd settle for the safety of 'most likely'!0
