I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with a sales advisor trying to get the best deal I possibly could as a new sky customer
What I wanted was the following
Sky TV
Sky Sports and Sky Movies
Every channel I could get
I wanted all the HD channels
Sky + to record rewind and all that Jaz
Sky on demand
Sky go to watch on my iPad/iPhone
Skys fibre optic broadband
An with all that I obviously needed line rental and a phone
I also wanted all the above in three rooms not just one!
To my horror when all this was disclosed they wanted to charge me £129 for all of the above!
Anyway after a logn hard battle, I managed to bring this down to £84 a month on a twelve month contract. They even waived all installation fees as well as no charge what so ever for any router or the three boxes I need, one being the Sky Plus HD box the others being HD standard boxes.
Goes to show if you spend long enough on the phone with them you can get a great deal, Virgin Media couldnt even come close!0 -
Just called someone else and managed to get the offer put on with no 12 month contract. Managed to speak to someone in england this time. Last call went abroad so maybe she didn't know what she was talking about.0

Just got off the phone with sky and the CS lady said they currently have an offer on the HD pack. £1 for 12 months but you have to take a new 12 month contract. I imagine this will only help those who recently got 12 months 1/2 price.
I got mine at the start of june so its not worth it for me to be stuck with full price sky for over 2 months as that would wipe out any savings I'd make on this deal but it could help others. If anyone manages to get this offer without the new 12 month contract please post in the thread.
I have recently signed up to a 12 month 50% off deal but tied into a 12 month contract (not that big of a deal) as I wanted the HD pack on the sports and movies.
Let me get this right, you were offered the HD pack for just £1 for the full 12 month period?!
I am still in my cooling off period, maybe worth a call or a webchat.
Has anyone else had this offer?0 -

Confirmed by a different CS agent and shows the correct price update on the mysky package page. Sorry if I confused anyone but its £1 PM not £1 for the whole 12 months ...0 -
got offered 35% but no contractDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Sometimes we get lucky and call at the right time but the way the agent explained it to me it was an offer sky currently had on the HD pack. She wasn't a native english speaker so its possible she made a mistake but the offer was confirmed by another CS agent when I called for the 2nd time. He was able to add it no problem then went on to confirm my bills etc after.
Sorry it was £1 per month for the next 12 months.0 -
We've cancelled - due for switch off on 26/8. Just logged into my sky and we've already got 35% off for 12 months on offer there. Think I'll hold out for more though?0
