Hi i have just got off the to sky and all I can say is what a scam. After spending nearly all my thurs nite on the sky web site to upgrade my sky subscription to HD. Only for it to say error please ring sky, I eventually gave up at 23.45 am. Rang sky this morning !
Passed from Dept to Dept got to sales only to told promotion had finished last night, told him what had happened with sign up error only to be told they it was not working properly had other people ringing up to complain about it aswell. I have been with sky over 20 yrs and think it is disgusting how they treat there existing customers. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks !!!!!!!0 -
Hi,
I've had a look to see if anyone else has posted this but couldn't find anything, please redirect me if you know where I should be looking.
I've been with Virgin for around 8 years now and have had my share of problems with them but they have always been really good at offers and discounts when things haven't been working. My current deal is £37 per month and I get XL TV (with V+), Medium Broadband, line rental plus free weekend calls to landlines.
I keep getting emails from them saying 'suggest a friend and when they sign up you get £50 and they get free installation' just wondered if you had any kind of thread here where people could swap info with each other to get these deals if they don't have any personal friends who are looking to sign up with Virgin.
Thank you!!0 -

Warning re: M&S VOUCHERS OFFER
Been with sky for a considerable time but also had BT for broadband and phone and as I was not prepared to accept BT's latest increases I decided to switch those to Sky and Also at the same time upgrade my sky + box for an HD one.
This was last night and before the midnight cut off for the online order anyway before going to the checkout I decided to phone them to confirm everything the phone and broadband was all done over phone but the advisor said to get the Vouchers I would need to place the HD order online this I did and got an email confirming it.
I also took a screenshot of the online order just in case as it confirmed the Vouchers.
So alls fine so I thought fast forward to this morning I had an email from sky asking me to phone them as they needed to confirm some details to finalise the order so I get on the phone and eventually get through.
It turns out that the self install I requested is £15 but the order said free they said they can do one of two things 1) charge me £15 and then give a £15 credit on my next bill or 2) send a engineer out to install free so that is what I chose for this Tuesday.
Fast forward to this evening I go online to track order no mention of the Vouchers and the order date has been changed from the 24/03/2011 to the 25/11/2011.
Still trying to get through to sky now to see if those Vouchers still stand as I have this sneaky feeling that they have run out of Vouchers and have pulled this stunt to avoid giving them.
I will of course fight it as I have kept to my side of the contract and they may have failed.
I have the screenshots and the emails0 -

Is that on the new forty-eight hour clock I've heard about? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Just checked our latest bill to see how much we are currently paying. The TV part says:
Sky+ Subscription 17/03/11 - 16/04/11 £0.00
2 Pack 17/03/11 - 16/04/11 £20.50
Sky+HD Pack 17/03/11 - 16/04/11 £10.25
HD Pack Discounted 17/03/11 - 23/03/11 £2.31 CR
AFAIK we got the "free HD for a year" offer that was doing the rounds a while ago (but I can't remember exactly when we started on it). As such I can't work out what the HD discount of £2.31 is for ? Surely we're still under the offer and the discount should be £10.25 or we're not and we shouldn't get a discount at all ? On the previous 6 bills (and presumably bills before that) the HD sub has been credited in full.
Our BB and phone charges are:
Sky Broadband Unlimited 17/03/11 - 16/04/11 £15.00
£5 off Broadband each month if taken with Talk 17/03/11 - 16/04/11 £5.00 CR
Line Rental & call features £11.25
Call package £5.00
Shouldn't the BB Unlimited cost be £12.50pm now ?0 -

Agree 100%
Ring them up again and say your friend has just been offered 50% off to stay, and if they had offered you this you would too.
That's what I did. they only offered me 25% at first0 -
I phoned up to enquire about if I could get the £100 vouchers for upgrading to hd, as I'm on a rentention deal, as it said in their terms and conditions that the offer was not available with any other offer.
The lady went and asked and said I could have the offer. I asked if I had to do the order online to get the vouchers and she said no, she'd do it there and then. I double checked to make sure I'd get the vouchers if I didn't do it online and she said yes, so hope she's right !0 -

I'm curious, what speed do you pay for and what do you actually get?The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
