I spent another 20 minutes on the phone to sky at the weekend and they weren't offering me any discount, even if I entered into a 12 month contract. How do people on this forum manage to get 25% off!
I said I wanted all the channels (£52 a month) then wanted the HD for free. They weren't interested, told me to pay the full £62 a month! So I'm sticking to the basic package!0 -

They offered me 25% off straight away. I accepted 50% off sky world which is now £26 (HD is full price £10) originally everything was half price and Hd free.0 -
Spent 25 mins or so on the phone and very painlessly offered 50% on the whole lot (all the channels, broadband, multiroom, HD) for 6 months.
Thus chopping my whopping £86pm bill to £48 for 6 months!
Try it, you have absolutely nothing to lose. For reference, I called at about 6pm on Saturday0 -
when I get my voice back (yet another flu
) I am going to try to get 50% off my bill for 6 months as would prefer this to mythical M&S vouchers, which I have a feeling may or may not ever arrive. Are they mostly doing deals for those of you who have Sky BB or Sky talk as well as Sky TV though? I only have TV through Sky (£51 a month or something high).
Btw I signed up for Sky Player on my computer. Is this free or free until June or can they bill me for using it? I only watched one programme so far. thanks0 -
I dont have my calls or line rental through them but still got a good deal as you can see from my previous post. they did try and convince me to move my calls acrosss to them quite persistently though but to be expected.0

Heeeelllllpppppp!!
I'm trying to get a deal from Sky but its not really working!!
I currentl pay £24.50 per month
I want to get a HD box
HD subscription
Sky sports (both channels)
This will put the Monthly bill at over £55!!
Any ideas hows I can go about getting this down. Even if it was down to £40!0 -
phone up recently to give 31 days notice and they offered me 50% off for 6 months rolling contact. currently paying £39.75 with free hd subs for 12 months. offered me sky with all sports for £19.87 per mth. but hd would be £10.25 extra per mth, said cannot give 2 offers at same time.
i decided to cancel there and then even though i was tempted by rolling contract.
so anyway 5 days to go before my deal expires i phone up with a change of mind and ask for the 50% the chap said he cant do anything and if he was going to re-instate me today would have to be full price.
i said no.
he said an offer had been sent out 22nd march but couldnt tell me what it was for. havent received it yet though 8 days on...
sky have also tried to call, dont know whether to offer me a deal?
think im going for free-sat, no subs and £600 a year better off!0 -
Was planning to leave Sky as the costs are so high. Followed advice on forum.
Spoke to a lovely lady in the cancellations dept and said that I needed to cancel as funds are tight. No haggling.
Reduced from £62 to £36 pounds a month for 6 months (reduction of 50% on £52 subscription plus £10 for HD).
Really pleased, was told by Sky that it's a good idea to call in as they always have deals for long serving customers.
Job Done :T0 -
Our bill went up to full price £54.50 (TV 3 mixes, movies, LR, eve & weekend calls, and max BB) when a cheap movies deal finished, I rang them to say I couldn't afford to pay that. We cancelled the movies but also got half price TV for 6 months and a £50 credit, plus they waived the 1 month movie charge and cancelled it there and then. Pleased with that for the time but need to shop around considering freesat+ HD as OH would like HD!0

I have been with sky for a few years and had a old box, I have rang sky up loads of times to see if they have any offers. I want a box i can record and pause etc, I saw the £100 m+s offer but i don't have a HD TV but sky say all boxes are HD ready and it would cost me £159.99 to have it fitted etc with out the offer. I thought this offer would be the only way to have a HD box (pay £10.25 extra a month for the HD package even thou i did not have it and get £100 M+S vouchers working out only paying £23 for the box) But i came here and read that people were getting the boxes for £15 and no charges or HD packages. So i rang Sky up cancelled my order and said i wanted to leave sky (I was prepared to leave). I went through to this lady that said she would call me back, In the end i explained that i read MSE about people getting boxes etc for £15 she put me on hold and came back and said i could have a SKY HD + (3d box) for free no charges and no monthly fee, Infact i got it fitted 3 days later. So just from reading this forum i have saved £123. I know i would have had £100 M+S Vouchers but i would have been paying for them. I only pay £23.50 a month (no kids channels) and have a new 12 month contract.Jan Wins: .0
