Hi All,
I'm currently a sky HD, broadband, phone line customer.
I have all the channels except sky movies.
Total monthly bill is £81.25.
I have been with sky for 1 year and looking for a retentions deal.
What have similar people got?
I am quite keen on the 6months half price deal but not sure if that has been offered to a customer paying £70+?
Some advice would be great!
Thanks
Hi, I had the sky for half price since install.
My package is everything including multi room subscription.
I rang them up saying I could not afford the increase after 12 months - They offered me 25% off. I said no.
I waited until 2 days before I was disconnected and rang again saying my mate has just been offered a renewal at 50% off for 6 months, If they had offered me this I wouldn't have left.
They put me on hold and simply agreed.
Just bought a 2nd hand HD box off Ebay and installed and paired this with Sky. Now have 2 HD boxes (both recordable) and both HD but paying another £10.50 month for the 2nd HD subscription.
Well happy with the setup and price. Football in SD is awful, HD Very good
Cancelled my Sky broadband and phone, as Virgin is far better in this department.0 -

That bundle (based on the old product listing, BB-M 10mpbs, Phone M and TV XL) should only be £32.99 pm. Do you have any bolt-ons?
Are you sure about that? According to my bill it's: BB M - £20.75, Phone M - £12.24, TV XL - £25, with a £19.95 bundle discount, so £38.49. I don't have any extras. Could you let me know how you worked it out? Thanks.0 -

Really odd now, because it won't replicate on the website. It now comes out as £50.99???? :huh:The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Thanks for checking Flyboy. I phoned up to ask them, and it is £50.99, but I get a loyalty discount which takes it down to £38.95. I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be different if I had BB L instead of BB M, but the nice man took me through all the options, and convinced me I am on the best deal they can give. He said if I could prove someone else had the same bundle for less, by having them give their name and password over the phone, then he might be able to match it, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.0 -
Virgin putting their prices up according a mail I got today. Various going up. I only got them two months ago so I'm not happy.
I'm not entirely sure but it might be worth you looking around for some info. I have a feeling that, although they do have the right to change prices, you have the right to terminate your contract due to them putting the prices up, as you have after all agreed to a contract at the price as it was when you joined.
Something a while back when Orange changed some of their terms and conditions, that meant any Orange mobile customer had the right to cancel their contract, so might be a similar thing for you and other virgin customers. Certainly worth having a look for some info on your rights anyway.0 -
