really annoyed, contacted sky last night as i had spoken to a few people who had called them as thinking of cancelling and they were offered half price deals etc, all i got offered was £9 discountfor 3 months , was told i was such a loyal customer for 9 years!!!! then left on hold for 10 minutes whilst she pretended to speak to a manger to get me this wonderful deal and came back with £9 !!!!!! i couldnt believe it. I was told that they do have offers on but it depends on who you speak to and what they can offer, why should i have to spend my time to keep calling back to get a better dea(which was suggested by sky staff member in india)l , surely it should be fairness and consistency to all???? i have completed a feedback survey but no doubt this will disappear into the abyss somewhere at sky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

The best deals are reserved for those customers who do actually leave, or at least give their notice. Try doing that and see what comes up. Plus it's always worth calling back at a different time.brewster74 wrote: »surely it should be fairness and consistency to all????
If every customer got the same deal, then it would just be known as the standard price. People would then still want to haggle for a lower price and so it would come full circle.
Sky are like any other business and are around to make as much money as possible and it wouldn't make good business sense to offer every customer half price off the bat.
It's exactly the same with mobile phone retention deals. Some people get better offers than others. The more profitable you are for them, the harder they try to make you stay.
Unfortunately, unlike mobile phones, there is only really Virgin who can compare to Sky so you don't have much to choose from.
Good luck0 -

You certainly won't get an increased offer by filling out a "feedback form" and I doubt you'll receive better offers by constantly calling them.
Realise that your sense of "entitlement" is wildly askew of reality. If you can't afford Sky then don't have it.0 -
I barter with Sky constantly and at the moment I have :
Entertainment Extra and sky movies for £31.00
sky hd £10.25
1 sky multiroom Free for a year
1 sky multiroom £2.50
sky line rental paid upfront
sky broadband £3.75
My monthly bill is £47.50
without offers it would be £91.250 -

Sorry, I'm paying £78.75 in total, I've only just realised that I don't have the Entertainment pack that's for HD either!!!
I pay my bills by direct debit so don't really look at the actual bill too often. I cancelled Movies as we weren't watching it, but it seems I'm paying £21 a month for sport, which I watch even less!!!0
