"The SKY will on 03/06/13 and not looking forward to calling them back at the 11th hour to stop the cancellation with probably some smug Scottish git laughing at the other end."
Less of the racism here pal. There`s no need, and no place for that here.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -
In what way is using someone's nationality as an adjective racist? He didn't say "some smug git like all other Scots".0

please don`t vindicate the racist. Or justify what he is saying.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0

Newsflash: calling someone a racist doesn't make them a racist.
Now, on topic, when I got a call from Sky a few days after my cancellation went though and was asked why I was leaving, etc. He didn't even tell me what he was going to offer me because, after looking at my account, he knew I wouldn't take it. At this point, my anger with Sky's customer service would probably dissuade me from taking even a 75% off offer.0 -

Hello,
I have had no issues with sky, live in a flat where we have internet, tv and phone through sky and pay full whack for 2 years. I had no idea that threatening them would do anything for you.
Anyway, our landlord is selling the flat, so we're on the move to the (conveniently timed) flat downstairs. Technically this is a new address so I guess this will be subject to a home move.
So I need to phone up and explain the complex details of moving downstairs for them to most likely struggle with. What I would like advice on is to how I discuss with the adviser my options. Whether a home move with some additional reductions would be best or if I threaten to leave and come back in the new address.
thanks in advance0 -
Threatening to leave wont do anything, you have to give your notice.
As you are moving from one address to another it will be a home move. If its in the same building, shared dish, etc. then all you will have to do is plug in your STB and off you go. they wont even have to send out an engineer.
You will only be a new customer if you have not had service for 12 months.0 -
it's not a shared dish so they will need to get another installed, should I expect a charge?0

There is no charge for a home move.0
