I cancelled Sky tv in March and the only offer I have had is via my O2 - Sky BB subscription, I don't even know if that is valid as I have only just cancelled the tv subscription. I have a new smart 3D tv so I am not missing Sky at all, in fact I am counting the savings
O2/Sky BB - Free for 12 months, Landline £7.45 with Primus and finally TV £4.99 Lovefilm (With £15 Amazon voucher)..

Having a SMART 3D TV makes subscription TV even more appealing, not less!
It doesn't well not Sky anyway, I didn't have a HD box, they didn't offer me one, plus what do they show on 3d channel? I can buy 3d films with what I am saving (Dinosaurs, The Hobbit, My Bloody Valentine). Also the streaming quality of Blinkbox and Lovefilm is pretty good.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Ive just rang virgin to see what they could offer as wanted to decrease monthly bill. I am on tv xl with v+ box and v box in another, 20mb internet and weekend calls, all they could offer was my bill going from £90 to £95 offering me tivo box in one room. Dont know how that was decreaing my bill by putting it up by £5??
So looked on sky and wrote what they could offer me wrote it all down basically same package with virgin all channels and 2 sky + plus boxes including the £25 m&s voucher for £70
So i phoned virgin told them what the deal was and they were like ill see what we can do the woman on the phone went away then came back and said thats far too cheap let me have a look and she went on skys website and added up what i told her then said no its coming out as dearer than virgin!
what should i do0 -

Served cancellation notice 3 weeks ago - called today and offered either 12 months half price (full tv, hd, multi) or 6 months free tv with no contract (£10 multi per month, do not quite free!)
6 months free please and thank you!0 -
I cancelled Sky and it's been off around one month now and I haven't had any flyers or calls etc but not missing it at all. Haven't got around to buying a freesat or similar. This will all change once the football session starts I fear. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

What's the number for Virgin retentions from a Virgin landline please. I tried this morning on 150 but they don't seem to have the "leaving us" option anymore.0

Virgin retentions rang after ringing to give notice and cancel and I've signed up to the below for £22pm and now have a new 12 month contract:
- TV M+, downgraded from XL
- Phone XL
- BB 30mb
- TiVo
Having g a superhub installed next week for free (usually £50) as ours is old and only giving g a max of 20mb.
They couldn't add free 0845 calls but the chap said to use sanoto0870 and put a £24 credit on the account :T (I use this site anyway or call from work)
I've given up multiroom as we've not used it for months and paid the line rental in advance at £120 so saving just under £60!
we're going from £70pm a month and the money saved will be used to purchase some Disney Junior DVD 's as my 4 year old will not be happy when this channel disappears!:rotfl:2013 wins: Persil Bunny0
