Cancelled Sky last August after 12 years of everything, didn't miss it and went to freesat.

Last Dec got phone call offering everything free for 4 months so took it (who wouldn't) but noted the date and rang 30 days before free offer up to cancel and thought that was that.

Anyway Sky is still live and nothing showing on account, so e-mailed to remind them to shut us down as we would not be paying. Got another call from them last night saying, rather than close it we can have another 4 months free !! Takes us into August now.

Not sure what sort of ploy they think this is but I will keep going as long as they do. I still won't be paying them a penny in the long run?

well its worth being patient i just got a letter offering half price for 12 months

I don't understand how people manage to haggle their prices down so easily, have just been on the phone to them for half an hour and they simply would not budge...maybe times have changed?! Threatened to leave, just said there was nothing they could do!

Stock answer. Dont threaten to leave, give your notice. Threatening doesnt mean anything, giving your 30 days gets their attention as you are then 'serious'.

Got a letter offering sky half price for 12 months today.

was cut off on 20/03.

tempted to wait and see if i get a 75% off offer as have been offered this before after turning down 50%.
