Hi,
Just about to switch to Virgin for TV/Phone & Broadband. Been reading about it on this site and it states that Topcashback offers the best cash back deal of £76 for buying all three. However having checked Quidco they seem to be offering £161 which looks much better.
Can anyone tell me if I am reading this correctly? -

Just coming to the end of a half price for 12 months deal, phoned in on the 02071 267020 number and went through the options to get to cancellations. Guy tried for 15 mins to reduce my package by knocking off Sports, HD etc, but price was more than I was currently paying, Told him cost was still too high, no deals offered not even 25% discount, account closes in 31days and I'll be £48 a month better off
. Think I'll buy a PVR at xmas

I believe you will probably be reading it correctly - the high Cashback deal alternates between Topcashback and Quidco.

my old sd + box finally died last week.
i phoned up and the first story was a £65 engineers visit, no thanks i said please cancel.
Transferred to retentions and it was then £15 visit or new HD box but have to pay the HD sub. No thanks I said. Then it became 20% off the base subscription but still have to pay the HD sub. I said no thanks. The guy said he would mark my account with what was offered.
So far, no phone calls and I have been relying on sky go and freeview. I was actually surprised how few channels they have on sky go and when my 30 days is up, even that will go.
so far, i really miss the live pause and some of the discovery shows but sports? so far no withdrawal symptoms ( apart from the F1 channel ) which makes me think i might even cancel that if i do go back to them.2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0 -
Sky box ebay £50Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Remember you lose live pause and recording capability if you cancel Sky. A Freesat+ HD box would give you all the Sky+ features plus on demand (depending on box) but obviously you get no subscription channels.0

Following my post regarding me cancelling my sky in an attempt to get offered a better deal, me and my partner have thought of something.
I have got a 50% off code for new customers, my current sky package is in my name, without my partners.
We were thinking, if she signed up for Sky using the 50% off code at our address (She moved in 3 months ago) would this be ok?
She is technically a new customer although the address already has sky set up, so would they see this as being ok if she advised she is moving and wnats it setting up (arranging this for when my current contract expires, and i have nothing to do with it)0 -
I was lucky enough to grab one of the codes that Martin got in September but was wondering about my Sky bill. I chose the whole package with movies and sports and the HD box and am being charged £38 per month. Is this correct? I was under the impression that the whole cost was half price, including the HD subscription.0

As has been mentioned many, many times, HD had absolutely nothing to do with the deal and it was never stated as such.0
