Wantsajob, do you get DLA, as thats not means tested. Most other benefits are though. You are classed as being the same as married if you live together.

No I never applied for it, I thought I would find it challenging and stressful to prove that I need DLA as I have Asperger Syndrome - and I was also certain my claim would be rejected. This link seems to offer concise help for my situation, I guess I may as well apply for it now as I can't get it if I don't try.

Then it would be in my interests to move back to my mothers until I can find a job, or to steal. I like the first option most.

If you are capable of working then you are claiming IS for incapacity fraudulently.
  • put in a claim for tax credit an child tax gredit strait away then housing an council tax

He cant be fit for work and on IB, he says he is looking for a job, so it seems he feels he is fit for work, and as AS is a lifelong condition he presumably had it when he took out a career development loan? when did things change? I think it is DLA he should be on.

    I am confused.
  • how do we know if he doesnt have children,

im not going to reply on here again because i can see where its going
that would be the same way as my thread went when i asked for help

The law says that a couple needs just over £100 a week to live on, so yes, your partner earns too much, even on the minimum wage. I think it is a bit more for people with disabilities, but it isn't a vast amount.

Yes. If you claim DLA, you do get disability premiums on top of income based benefits.
