if you look on googlemaps and on street view you can see exactly where.

who wants to go down there this afternoon?
thats the spirit mate lets go and get dennis its the only way to get our cash

quite right, spike ! And the post office are in on it too, as well as the electricity company that supplies the power, bt and the council who earth mobile pay/owe council tax.

Your post on dennis' background from linkedin in post#37 was unnecessary and pointless. He runs a storage company that rents space to earth mobile and you are implying by that post that he has something to do with the running of earth mobile without the slightest shred of evidence.

Hitting out randomly at a 3rd party who happens to have legitimately rented them some space is way off beam.
lets lynch the lot of them
  • I got stung for £268 on this one and like the rest of you, have confirmation letters stating that the price had been confirmed, and would be paid into my account within 2 weeks...

I've logged my complaint with Watchdog, but don't hold much hope on getting my money back :-(

For Petes sake, Dennis is most likely just the guy who is at the front desk. He's probably owed rent too. Calm down and think this through.

Would you send a lynching party out for all posties in the area if it happened to be a PO box at a post office? Even the post Office rent boxes and you can send Special delivery and registered post to them (see http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1;jsessionid=TORHPJ5YLZSYUFB2IGVVGAQUHRA0UQ2K?mediaId=52100720&catId=600006 )

You need to work out who is behind Earth mobile rather than plastering some (probably innocent) blokes details over the web. At best is below the belt, at worst it's libel.

WhoIS lists the Earth mobile owner as Russell Tilbury but he could just be the person who set up the site, and nothing to do with the company.

One thought I'd have is why would someone in Hook be renting a self service place 30 miles away? Why not pick somewhere closer, There are surely some closer. I suspect someone else is behind it and that person is at the heart of the issue.

As a start Compnaies house has this on Earth mobile.

    Name & Registered Office:
    EARTH MOBILE LTD
    141 DEDWORTH ROAD
    WINDSOR
    BERKS
    SL4 5BB
    Company No. 05143609

A little more digging would suggest Russel was a director and was responsible but the director was changed to

DIRECTOR'S CHANGE OF PARTICULARS / MISS KATIE ELIZABETH ILIFFE on 27/07/2010

And she has lived at a Winsor SL4 address with (according to prior Electrol Rolls ) Russell Tilbury , Panagis A Milionis , Monique L Veal , Maria Sarno , Christine A Noakes , James Noakes , Noel Hayes , Deborah C Jepson , Enid M Platt

Which suggest either a big house lots of friends or rented accomodatin

No he's left a long trail all over the net as Russell Tilbury for several years and been dealing with clients in person.

Whilst it's possable there is someone else involved I doubt he was just fronting it.

It's not a big house it's a 3 bed semi ...which as you say is a lot of people there ...perhaps they are very close friends
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My guess would be Tillbury and Iliffe were/are living there when it was first set up and he maybe thinks a change of director will release his liability ...which it won't of course :D

Its interesting though isn't it ?
It's not just about the money

I like many others have been caught out by Earth Mobile. The chances of getting the money for the mobile I sent in or getting the mobile back are about as likely as Gordon Brown winning a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics in the 100m sprint.

Fortunately I did take a note of the IMEI number of the mobile I sent in. I don't know how much of a difference this will make if any but I rang my mobile phone network, gave them the handset make, model, IMEI number and they blocked it immediately. Hopefully this will render the handset useless. It also now means should Mr Earth Mobile decide to try and sell it on via another mobile phone recycling site it will flag up as being blacklisted, resulting in no money being paid to the sender along with the police being notified.

As far as I'm concerned until I receive any payment for the mobile I sent them it's still mine. No money for me, no working mobile for Earth Mobile. :money:

(If you had your mobile from your network provider eg Orange, Vodafone etc it maybe worth giving them a call as they sometimes have a record of the IMEI number for the handsets they issue. Explain to them whats happened and ask them to block the handset. In the unlikely event you should receive your mobile back it can apparently be unblocked by the network whom blocked it..)

Add me to the list as well:mad: sent them a Nokia 5800 in June and am owed £76, the last contact I had was 22nd July promising payment (I copied the e-mail below). I went through quidco and earthmobile did pay the cashback:eek:
Further to your query i can see no reason on our system why this has not been paid and have instructed our accounts department to process and issue this payment immediately. In the meantime please accept our sincere apologies for the error on our part and any inconvenience this may have caused you.

    Regards

I still have the IMEI, but I'm not sure how I can get it blocked - I bought it second-hand from someone who got it on contract from O2, but it was unlocked so I used it with my Three contract.
