I would definately try to get some feedback on your application, if it's worthwhile then it might help in the future and if you don't agree with it then you can ignore it, that's the good thing about feedback

Sorry not felt like posting for a while not sure if I want to continue with this diary, start a new one or just lurk and post on other threads.
Things are fine, actually looking forward to this week at work as I am showing some of my customers around HQ and generally looking after them etc. Still not found out who got the job dont think I will for quite some time.
Managed to take the money out of my linked Santander account that was paying 6% and put it into a new ISA. Got in just before they dropped the rate so getting 3.3% on the money now. Also set up S/O so I will pay in the full £5200 by the end of March. Nice to have savings really.
Was looking like we could go to Denmark for Christmas but now I don't think the inlaws will get around to going to South Africa so that's that out of the window. Would have been difficult as my sisters house might not be ready in time and that's where I would have preferred to be.
Back in the gym went 3 times last week and played golf. My feet were hurting so did not do Zumba Sunday. Love being back £20 a month is £14 less than I was paying its almost the same classes and you dont have to book so I can just go. Also it being so close is of course ideal. Away now until Wednesday evening but will hopefully use the hotel swimming pool.
Got a new barbecue which is so so nice and can do all sorts of things. Went to lakelands to get a rack for it yesterday but Dh got some rubbish briquettes so dinner was not that nice. Still practice makes perfect. This is my new toy:

            Hi TG
I for one would miss your updates so if you do decide to not update this particular thread then I hope you continue to pop in and see us
You are doing so well with the exercise etc, you really put me to shame, I dread to think how unfit I am these days
If you don't manage to get to Denmark at Christmas are you still thinking of going away or spending it at home? Talking of Christmas, I seem to remember you ages ago telling us about a traditional Swedish dessert that you 'cooked' in the bed, I think it was a Christmas dish but maybe my memory is letting me down, would it be ok for you to repeat the recipe and instructions here please?
I'm having a lovely lazy day today, I had a massage this morning and now I'm looking after my new week old nephew - fantastic!
Regards

Thanks guys that is really sweet of you to say you read my dross on here. Anyway had a fab weekend away it worked perfectly with staying with my friends family on the Saturday and then Sunday night in a luxery hotel. We played two rounds of golf and had a very nice 3 course meal as part of the deal. Weather was lovely too perfect weekend we both agreed.
Book my first of my free Premier Inn nights (only have 2 must have missed booking 1 more night) and its for the 12th November in London. Its DH's birhtday on the 14th so we will go up Saturday morning (we are only 1 1/2 hours from London, maybe see a show and generally play tourist in London. Then stay for free on the Saturday nigth and go and see the golf show at Earls Court on the Sunday. Should be a nice weekend and the hotel should be £151 but its free so happy about that.
Cooking a whole chicken on the Cobb tonight as we now have the little tray thing so it doesn't burn smells lovely already but be another hour before its ready.
My friends dad had done my pictures (frames two prints my dad gave me last Christmas) and they look fantastic. He only charged me £40 (I am not sure what the real price would have been but that is very cheap). Also got £30 from the Champagne money as friends step mum wanted to share it. Don't know if you remember me selling a vintage bottle of champagne on Ebay for her.
Apart from that not a lot else to update will go and look at my chicken and generally chill out. I did mean to go to the gym but went to London for work (well spend 2 hours at a meeting) and the train made me so sleepy I did not feel like it when I came back.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Still not been to the gym this week but will go tonight. Working from home as the meeting today is not going to happen, need to get more appointments as even I am now bored.
Still its a new month and lets see what it brings.
Booked two MS for Saturday roughly in the same place so that should be easy, also going to see if there is a golf game Sunday as i now cannot play Friday as we got family coming over. Shame really but heyho they are over from South Africa so needs must. Going to cook a big stew of pork fillet and make apple and blackberry pie. Easy and can be done in advance (hey maybe I could get 9 holes in if I play early now there is a plan.)
Booked train tickets for friend and I to go to Gatwick for our Danish trip in less than 2 weeks. It was £22 each £1 booking free and £1 to go First Class obviously had to do that I have never travelled 1st Class before. Booked them via Quidco so maybe have some money coming back although it says only for tickets over £25 so not sure if that is each ticket or total order.
Also need to look at my home insurance quote did a quick one and found one via a comparison site, then left it and they called me 10 min later that is too pushy as I wanted to look at other sites. Sainsburys looks good and you get double Nectar points. I have a code for 100 extra points if you tell them your renewal date plus they are on Quidco.
Stood on the scales yesterday not going in the right direction mind you with no gym and all the food at the weekend its hardly surprising.Save £12k in 25 No 49

            On a roll now
Sorted home insurance out, £295 with Sainsburys Bank that gives me a £30 gift card and double nectar points for 2 years plus £50 back with Quidco if it tracks. I had been quoted £461 with my existing insurare so looking at the comparison sites and this I found it was good enough for me. Done and dusted which is great.
Also signed up for another MS, free take away so that will be handy next week although you can only choose from 3 options and DH will not particulary like any of them but I don't care. He can eat something else.
Got family coming down this evening so cancelled golf but will do Pilates in 30 min time. Actually need to get it on the go now so it can go in the slowcooker. Ups off to do that.
Take care all hope you have a nice Friday.Save £12k in 25 No 49

tried Pilates once and it nearly killed me, think I'd prefer golf but spending an hour and a half walking dogs every day means that I' m not that inclined to any exercise after that!
Good deal on the insurance there. My existing supplier keeps coming back with a cheap quote so I'v stayed with them for the past three years.
Enjoy your weekend!0 -
That is some dog walking I did have lots of good intention to get my two cats walking on a lead but they never got it and I did not practise that had to be honest.
I know I should have let Tesco requote me but heyho its done now and if I get the full £80 coming back it will be a good deal. Shop weekly at Sainsburys too.
Pilates was good I have done it now for many years so can get to quite an advanced level however if i stop for more than a couple of weeks its so so hard to do it again.
Might do Bodypump tomorrow morning or Zumba on Sunday.Save £12k in 25 No 49

No gym so far this weekend did not feel like and my back hurts however have done my 2 MS, got two more booked for next week.
Ordered my currency via MSE ofcourse packed some of the stuff I am taking to Denmark and sorted some stuff out for the trip to Leeds when I get back. 7.30am flight the day after I get back from Denmark and I am away 2 night with work this week so a bit hectic.
Tidied up my desk but still cannot find the CD case for a CD my neighbour lend me. major disaster will have to keep looking for buy him a new one. I still have the DH just not the case not sure where I have put it.
Also paid off some money on my BarclayCard (for golfclub membership so paid back via joint account) so I can get rid of it sooner. It feels like a debt otherwise.
Looks like Sainsbury insurance has tracked but I did have the ref numbers to fill in on it (cannot find the email) so will have to do that later.
Still to do today:
Need to do my cash expenses,
COllect train ticket form train station ready for Friday
take some stuff to the dump (its raining so dont feel like it)
Cut lawn (again raining)
Washing (done 1 load but yes you guessed it raining.
Buy flee spray and spray rooms
Watch the golf Thomas Bjorn is doing really well might win it.
Clean my office desk
Hope you are all having a nice Sunday.Save £12k in 25 No 49
