Gosh a whole week gone since last post. Had a nice relaxing weekend as I had my handbag stolen while away with work in a hotel in London. A very posh hotel too it happened at breakfast it was across the back of my chair and there was someone at our table the whole time. Luckily my wallet was in the room and my 2011 diary so lost my car keys, my Oyester Card unregistered but work pays for it so £20 they have lost. My Blackberry Bold mobile, a silver charm, my granmothers bracelet (dont think it was gold) may have been silver may not. My new headphones £10, a nice handcream and that was about it. So not too bad just not sure if I should make a claim or not. Got the crime ref and everything.
Just finished a bog slow cooker session, done 3 packs of mince for £10 (Sainsbo offer) turned into this many individual meals:
4 lasagne
5 Bolognese sauce
6 Cottage pies
Plus cottage pie for tonight for 2
Not bad really but may have to give some to FIL so save him from cooking.
Looks like I am now cooking Christmas dinner on the 25th as well as the 24th as the pub charges £50 per person not incl drinks and we have to eat at 12.15 which is way too early for us. We are having roast dinner so its not too bad. FIL will do all the shopping and some prep so cannot complain.
Jack is fine vet gave him the all clear he is now 4.8 kilo almost back to what he was. Still eats a lot and is as nice as ever.
Got the Christmas lights up outside but not the tree I want it to be nice and fresh.
Need to go and finish my mash have a nice evening.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Ok here we are a new year a new start just had a look at my goals for last year and looked at make some sort of budget for next year.
Here is what I wrote last year remarks to reflect this are in red:
Right now we need to come down to the serious business of 2011 and my goals and aims. These are the 3 most important things to try to rectify.
1. I cannot carry on like I have been for 2010 being fed up with my job and bored with working from home.
2. Also I need to loose some weight its gone too far and I hate looking at myself on pictures etc.
3. No more non risk Gambling when bored and I should be working from home.
1. Workwise I shall be targetted on how many appointments I do this year and they expect about 2 a day with 1/2 at home moment I do on average 5 a week so well short. This week I have two but can make some up as I need to drop in on some clients with stuff. I am not like to change jobs as although my sector is booming the public funding is being cut so need to stay where I am and be happy with it. Of course I can keep a look out but cannot really do much more as if it got back to my current employer that I am thinking of changing that would not be good. Unfortunately due to the location of the HQ my job is the only one in my area so stuck with it. Scared of taking on the larger new area but on the other hand it will help me get my appointments in as I don't know those clients.
Work is actually not too bad as I have now "lost" central London as an area and my collegues helped me blitz 3 counties for me so looked ok for 2012. Did not get my own bonus this year but should get the team one which will only be about £100 as it is offset with the company bonus we got in December which was £400 after tax.
So for January my mini work related goal is to be at my desk with the computer on ready to work (not facebook, personal email, MSE etc) by 8.55am every morning.
This I kind of kept too but could do better still play too many games so this must stop (see below ref gambling.)
2. Dietwise I am now 88 kilo I was 70 kilo 7 years ago and it has just crept up and up. I have not been the the gym for two months and eat so much junk. I have got an app on my Ipod to track my calories and have done so for 3 days. Not done too badly foodwise was actually under last night until I got a bar of Danish chocolate out 300 calc and I did not really need to eat the whole lot.
I did get into the habit of going at 5pm and did loads of Sundays Zumba however Sunday is normally golf day so did not play golf for nearly 5 months need to change this.
Mini goal go to the gym min twice a week (just going from 5.15 to 6pm instead of watching Neighbours will be fine). Also stop eating crap and sweets all the time. Its a habit I am sure. Cut down on Lattes on the road.
Still have quite a few Latte's on the road but mainly skinny ones.
3. Stop Gambling. Really struggled a bit with this lately. They send you a free £10 and before you know it £50 of my own money is lost. Got to stop total waste of money and its only because I am bored with work.
This got really really bad and I have had a few bank charges for going overdrawn. Disgusted with myself for allowing this but now I have gamebloc on both PC and Laptop and have only spent a tenner every now and then.
Mini Goal for January. Cancel all remaining bookies I have accounts with.
I did do this but I have also opended new ones during the year.
So there you have it reflection on last year time to start a new diary which will be far more focussed on changing those areas of my life that need to change. Please follow me if you fancy it I love reading your comments.Save £12k in 25 No 49
