  • How many Nintendo Wii consoles have been allocated to Woolworths since they are still taking preorders at this late stage of the game. I hope Woolworths can honour these preorders for the sakes of many kids this christmas as well as for their own brand reputation.
  • Well boys and girls. I have been on to an associate of mine, and he assures me that if I want a Wii, and zelda on release day, he can absolutely guarantee it, no problems. He'll even be able to get me a discount. RRP and ebay ....... no way jose !!

Although taking up the offer will be dependent on the level of discount obviously ! :D

P.s. Ninja Gaiden Black XBOX Comet £4.99. If you ain't got it get it !!
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

got to say not impressed by game at the mo..

ordered ours on the first day (back in oct) but then got another phone call 2 days ago from the same store asking if we wanted to pre-order ???!!! After long talk with manager he admitted a fault on their half.. they've said because we've paid deposit we'll be able to pick it up anytime between the 8th and 1 week after.

strange thing is they still don't know what package deals they'll be doing..

We won't know until a few days beforehand. Toys R Us don't know, nor do Gamestation, and Woolies have told me they've no idea on bundles either.

I ordered a Nintendo WII (O/N xxxxxxxxxxx) on the 21st Nov. And it says on your website it says it will be delivered on release week. Is this true for my order. (As the web site is still saying it and i know that other website sold out in minutes) Also when will the money be taken or has it been taken already. Kind regards Andy Blizzard

Hello, You will be contacted as soon as possible if we are made aware of any issue with the stock or shipping of this item. I know that we have got a guaranteed amount of orders that can be fulfilled in time for delivery in the week of release, but there are still potential factors out of our control that could effect the fulfilment of orders. Your order has been submitted well in advance of the pre-release back orders and aside from unforeseen circumstances, there is nothing to prevent the delivery of your Nintendo Wii in the week of its release. So you say you have got a guaranteed amount. So this amount has not been reached yet then as you STILL have the message on your home page. And also you have not answer the question about when payment will be taken? I need to know because my credit card expires on the 30th November !!!!! And my new one is only active from the 1st December!!! Regards Andy

So at the moment i think things are looking up for my order. So i would have to say anybody who ordered before the 21st Nov stands a chance of getting one.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Andy

I just can't believe that woolworths have enough to honour months of orders whereas amazon get 6 minutes' worth...

That's what I'm not sure about.

I got the same reply from Woolies after sending a similar message.

  • I'm getting sceptical about Woolworths now.

I ordered from there a couple of weeks ago and the guy at the till barely seemed awake. I told him how it was odd that they were still accepting pre-orders for release day, but he just said they were and took my payment.

The first thing to consider is that why would Woolworths be getting so many consoles? I could be wrong, and they may have some agreement with Nintendo, but surely dedicated computer game/electronic stores would get a larger allocation - the type of stores that have been sold-out of pre-orders for the past month.

The other thing that is worrying is that they dont seem to recognise how limited these consoles will be. They're treating it like it's a load of KitKats and that when/if they sell out, a quick call to the warehouse will bring another crate of them in the morning.

Of course, this could all just be pessimism and they may have 1000s to sell.

Fingers crossed, but I predict a lot of disappointment.
