I don't know how reliable they are Ferret. When I was researching companies where I could buy a Wii I found them. I'm sure Gamestation would be safer and you don't seem bothered about the launch day so I say go for it!

I was hoping to pre-order with Game so I could get points on my card.
I take it this is out of the question then...

My son isn't expecting to get 1 and he hasn't asked me as he knows that money is tight but I have overheard him saying to friends that he would love one. I would really love to see his face on Christmas morning when he opens it up.
I haven't been able to pre-order before now as I wasn't guaranteed to have the cash. I may have to end up going to ebay as I did for the DS and PSP.

Launch day is not important - it's a christmas present for my son - so Dec 25th is important.

Can't get through to Gamestation (just get ansafone which then hangs up on me!) so suspect loads of other people are querying the same as me!

I really don't know whether to just leave it and hope I can pick one up a week or so after launch - maybe from a shop rather than online - or put another order in.

I don't want to be lumbered with two or more, but I do want one!!



EDIT: Have now ordered via Gamestation, so I now have two "live" orders, one with Sendit (Jan 2007 or later) and one with Gamestation (before Xmas at present). I will cancel the sendit order once I receive the gamestation one!

And if I get neither before Christmas I shall cancel both and take my chances anywhere I can find them !

No problem Ferret. The only other company I know is GreatUniversal.com but it may not arrive before Xmas. It is worth it though.

You get a Nintendo Wii and Zelda for £249 (Initially looks expensive). But because it's a catalogue company, you get 20% off your first order, then 10%cashback and a further 8%?? if you go via quidco. If you pay via a credit card that offers cashback, the cost reduces further. You also get the option of interest free credit.

I've never ordered from a catalogue company so don't take my word for it.

I ordered one from Great Universal initially - with their "delivered on launch day - 8th December" banner. Rang them up a couple of days later, and my console was down for a 2007 delivery. Good value for money, but you wont get it in time for Christmas.

I ordered through Great Universal on Friday, and rang today, they are still saying that I should receive it in the next few weeks..are they talking rubbish?

And, they made me pay an initial £50 deposit..which is strange..wonder if I can get a refund if they can't deliver.

I was reading in the nintendo mag released this week that "by the time you read this if you havent got one ordered chances are you wont have until mid-Jan." They quoted all the places sold out but did say if you want one that your best bet would be to queue outside Argos or Tesco on day of opening and hope they have one "lying around"...

Who knows? I ordered it over a fortnight ago and was told that it wouldnt be delivered untill 2007. They hadnt taken any money from me though - maybe you got lucky. If GreatUniversal themselves say you're getting your console, then who are we to disagree? I hope you get it.
