Nintendo WII pre order only £180

I've just been into Woolies to add a scart and Zelda to me pre-order. To my HORROR they had cancelled my order !!!!!!!! No reason give, a pathetic sorry from the temporay xmas staff serving and thats it............

How very very disappointing

Any ideas where I can get one before Xmas now ? Or am I too late.

I think first in store on the 8th may get one. I was contemplating PC World on a retail park or even 24hr ASDA (if they get any).

We have sold out of our initial allocation of the Nintendo Wii console. However we are expecting many further allocations prior to Christmas.

I managed to pre-order from Gamestation in the end.
I told them I wasn't bothered about Launch day (TBH I don't want it then as I don't know where I would hide it all that time) but as long as I get it for the Saturday before Christmas then That is fine.
My pre-order number is 163 so I don't know if that is how many people or if it is just a random code number.

I ordered online yesterday (could not get through to sales line) and although have had email confirmation there is no mention of any numbers

I emailed Game who i have pre-ordered from in mid October to check i was going to get one and was told this:

Thank you for your e-mail.

The stores are now aware of their allocations so you will need to contact them directly to see where you are in the queue.

If I can be of any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me

Can anyone on here who works in Game confirm that this is true and you do indeed know where everyone is in the queue as i called my local store last week(and i suppose this could have happened this week?) to be told yeah you will get one but nothing about where i would be in the queue and how many they had which would be good to know.

The guy wrote it on my receipt after I filled in the forms. It may even be that I was the 163rd person today so I din't really know what the number was for.

Dont worry about not getting one for xmas there will be plenty in stock before xmas due to a very large second shipment 2 weeks after launch. Nintendo are just creating hype for the wii by short shipping the first batch.

Well I spoke to the manager and found out that there was a problem on my credit card and hence why they cancelled. The temp at lunchtime just totally cancelled the order off the system because it was cancelled at the backend. Apoligies to all xmas temps reading this!! I spoke to Natwest and yup a problem on my card, now all sorted. Anyway the Wii I ordered got released and was able to re-order one via Woolies again. Fair play to the, the store manager was very helpful and hopefully its all sorted now. Natwest had called me at home about my credit card but I was at work and not found out about the problem yet. Phew....

Did you order online or instore, i ordred instore and they guaranteed it for release day, it should show on your receipt, there will be a number starting with a 1 or 0, mine is 1003, which means i am number 3 on the list.
