The word on the street is that this may not be the case. I have it from a fairly reliable source (in the know so to speak), that if they do release the goldeneye VC conversion it will be re-mastered for Wii compatability, this is one of the issues that is holding back a confirmation of release. Obviously my source may be incorrect but lets hope for the Wii remastered version.

    Sounds very promising!!

Rattla - this was my line of thinking, I know on VC games you need a GC or classic controller, but there's nothing to stop them reworking the game to allow the use of the wii controller. You'd think Nintendo would be well aware that the Rare games were some of the best and most demanded games on the 64. They must have planned the VC component a while ago, I'm sure they would've been in touch with Rare to negotiate bringing the games on to the wii VC.

As DD said, may be the reason its not been announced yet is because it will be getting a major re-work. The console is perfect for FPS games and what better way to please the fans than re-working Goldeneye which would surely be amazing with the wii control pad!

I cant see how woolies are promising so many! trs sold out pre-orders already!
Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:
  • The only alternative to the awesome 'Domino' controller setup on Goldeneye would be the Wii remote, so I really hope your source is correct. =D

I fear we might all be up for a let down with woolworths to be honest - I mean how can they sell so many?

Many GAME stores are still guarenteeing them before xmas, not on the release date, but a £20 deposit will secure them before xmas, its about mid-month we're getting them.

  • Thought id say that though it is on a first come first served basis when the Consoles arrive in a friend went into store and just paid the manager the whole 180 quid and they accepted it so he has paid for it.

got to say not impressed by game at the mo..

ordered ours on the first day (back in oct) but then got another phone call 2 days ago from the same store asking if we wanted to pre-order ???!!! After long talk with manager he admitted a fault on their half.. they've said because we've paid deposit we'll be able to pick it up anytime between the 8th and 1 week after.

strange thing is they still don't know what package deals they'll be doing..
  • Just pre-ordered from HMV, do you think i can expect it before Xmas?
