Hi, I tried Game and Hmv but not gamestation yet, thanks.
  • if there were tighter restrictions on buying the Wii, maybe this shortage issue wouldn't be a problem. I had one quick search on eBay and some money grabbing theif has NINE wii's for sale, all going for well over the RRP. He has obviously just bought them to make profit, probably selling to the same families who missed out originally because he bought so many. eBay have restricted PS3 sales, by not doing this with Wii, they are effectivly helping fraud people at Xmas.
  • HMV have some online, the majority are pre-orders though for the 15-12-06 so i'm guessing that is when the next batch arrives.
  • I managed to pre-order from PC World in early November but didn't get a Wii last Friday unfortunately.

I have just spoken to a girl from PC World and she said that the whole Dixons/Curry/PC World Group had 3,700 preorders and that they only received 1,500 consoles from Nintendo last Friday.

They're getting more deliveries this week and next week so hopefully it will arrive before Christmas.

i just came back from my local comet and they had loads of controllers and stuff. I bought an extra controller, nunchuck, and classic controller to put with the Wii that i am selling.

YES I am making a profit so what. Any normal human being would not sell a Nintendo Wii for what they paid for it. I put it on ebay starting at .99 pence and if it goes for .99 pence so be it.
  • exactly, dont feel guilty about anything. its entirely up to you what you do with your purchase.

It makes me laugh when people complain and are judgemental of others because their self ignorance of the whole supply/demand matter has caused them to miss out. Obviously i feel sorry for the people who had preordered early ( and i mean early like august/september) and have not had these fulfiled. But i couldnt care less for the people that are complaining who pre-ordered this or last month. Its as if they automatically expect magic to happen. they should stop whining imo and face facts. Use this as a lesson if you want a PS3 next year and order early, be it for profit or self indulgence.

I've personally have kept my Wii and i'm enjoying it immensly with my family. I preordered in August and queued up for the midnight openeing and i'm happy.
