I phoned them over the weekend about 10 times asking if they had my wii in stock. They said they only had 30 come in and 5 people dropped out. As of Saturday morning 2 were left but were for pre-orders. I was next in line if they were still there on Sunday. Unfortunatly both had been picked up.
We were just looking on ebay (not to buy) and saw one with 30 mins to go and put our max bid at £260 (less pp) and low and behold we got it.
I am still next in line to get a wii at Game (debenhams, white rose, leeds). However I doubt very much that they will ring me. If they do chances are I'll pick it up and try and sell it for the £280 it cost me to buy one."Holding On For Dear Life" - read my true story of when my fiance suffered a stroke exactly 3 weeks before our wedding.

I wonder how many sellers on ebay know what the last posting dates are for christmas delivery.
Special delivery is the 21st Dec.

So if you do bid and it's after the 21st then expect it between christmas and new year as i'm sure the seller wont tell you until they have your money. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
That is only because Royal Mail don't guarantee for Saturday, but in practice most are delivered on the Saturday when posted on Friday.0

Anyway - I have a quick question to anyone who has a wii (and has not sold it!) - my cd slot does not really light up blue - it sometimes briefly flashes blue for a split second when I put a game in. Is this correct? I had the feeling it was going to be glowing blue the whole time!!
You only get a blue light when you have an un-read message. You can send urself a message and not read it if you want your light on all the time

Wow - thanks for the info! Will try this when I get home!!0 -
Mainly because what I'm selling retails at 215 (console = £180, Wii play = £35), postage is at least £20 if its not collected. (at least making sure its insured will be).
And after all, I'm only human... profit doesn't hurt. I guess that makes me callous and takes away from my morals. But hey I'm just being honest. I'm sure most people would do the same thing in my situation.
One of the things about is Ebay is people pay what they think its worth, though a bit unfair on those who aren't prepared to pay the inflated prices. People aren't forced to bid, its a very natural market place. As you know my starting price is 99p. I disagree with the people setting either starting prices or BINs at the £499 region, its taking advantage of peoples desperation.
Edit:
By the way, is there any reason that you've taken our conversation away from PM to forum. Trying to pressure me into selling you something at a bargin considering the availability of the product so I don't "lose face"?~Diminutive0 -
I think i've done alright paying £280.01 for one yesterday on ebay by the looks of it."Holding On For Dear Life" - read my true story of when my fiance suffered a stroke exactly 3 weeks before our wedding.

Got a workm8 who got 6 on launchday
I never bothered as I thought they'd be loads of stock.
Madness  it started at only 1p too. Probably as it finished at 2pm on release day was the reason for the high sale price.
I doubt they will break that price now unless they include loads of games or stores are telling the truth when they say no more stock until jan-feb. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0
