Madness  it started at only 1p too. Probably as it finished at 2pm on release day was the reason for the high sale price.

I doubt they will break that price now unless they include loads of games or stores are telling the truth when they say no more stock until jan-feb.

At the moment they are selling between £300 and £350 with no extra games or anoything on ebay

My mate just rang me up and said a friend got a HMV preorder for the Wii but then her son changed her mind and so she was going to cancel her HMV order and did I want it if I paid her the £30 deposit that she paid.

What do yous think I should do? If I do pay her the money I'm essentially stuck with HMV to get my Wii so if they don't get them til Feb then I won't get my Wii til Feb! I really want one so I don't know what to do now!

Least you will be on a list and definatley get one. As you say, it might not be before christmas but you will get it eventually.

You could also be suprised and get it before christmas.

£30 isn't much to go on a list to definatley get one. And if you do get one before your HMV one, you could do the same and sell the pre-order for £30

yes the contract with me is because i had already paid for them and had them in my hands and reciept was stamped as collected.
Aah, I see. What idiots. Though if it was 2 days after launch and they'd still not been collected, chances are it was people who'd ordered in several places to guarantee they got one.

Is this £30 thing for the high-street store? Because I've ordered one on-line and there was no pre-order value, it just takes the money when they send it to you. Anyone know if the high-street stores will get the Wii before the internet store?

That is true. I've just got a feeling that the whole Wii shortage has been overhyped and that I'll end up paying the money for the preorder, not being high up enough on the queue to get it then everywhere like Argos etc get theirs in whilst I'm still waiting! I really don't have the money to buy another in the mean time, broke student down to my last £200 and my next pay isn't until the 22nd!

Yeah the £30 is for high street. I think they operate separately like 2 different queues. So it just depends when they get them in. I wouldn't say high street would have priority over internet or vice versa, just depends.
  • To those of you who have managed to get your hands on a spare wii and are selling on ebay, I would say fair play. I'm also waiting to get my wii and if an extra turns up I'll be selling it on. I paid almost £500 for 2 T in the park tickets in the summer with a face value of £115 each. It dented the pockets a little but was well worth it, we had a great time. Thats just the way things are unfortunatley but If I get my chance to make a few quid, for a change, I'll be taking it !:)
