I've just stuck a quick question on the previous thread, as I ended up doing option one not option two (although in a sense it will relate to this mealplan too when I get there

Kindof - despite my reservations, we are now doing option one too but I have tweaked it as mentioned in my previous post. I'm not sure realistically how much it will cost for the month with the tweaks - I already had a number of items in the house, plus as I've mentioned I've added honey, fruit and a few other bits to the list. I have however switched some other bits - all dinners are the same, not doing any nut type spreads or pea soups etc. So far the months shopping has come to around £105 - however I haven't reduced quantities as I plan to freeze any excess (there's three of us not four) but I've also had to pay for three lots of delivery fees as there's no supermarket near by. So for the next mealplan I plan to do one big shop of all the dry goods and just buy milk and fresh items on a weekly basis (going to sort my change out and only have the correct money too!) which will save money on the delivery front. I know it's advised to do it weekly but paying an extra £10+ in delivery fees a month is just silly.0

Yeah lol he was a big boy, thankfully I was drugged up (emergency forceps delivery and poss c.section meant they numbed me completely just incase) so I didnt feel it lol

Okay - here is the batch cooking list for Option 1 (the meat eaters). That is for the first week only - we decided against excessive hand-holding for the website users, so thought that if we provide an example for the first week, then everyone can organise one for each subsequent batch cooking day. I have, however, compiled a list of which meals are cooked in all the weeks that follow, so I'll find that for you in case you find it helpful.0

Nope. It means you buy 2 bags of onions, and each bag weighs 2 kg. What you use is one full bag (2kg or 2000g) and 920g from the next bag
BTW, keep the questions coming, no matter how silly they might seem - I wrote that shopping list, so of course it makes perfect sense to me :rotfl: But I will not know if it makes perfect sense to Weezl's website users unless people say so ! If you have any ideas on how to make it clearer, please let us know0 -

Okay my last dippy question of the day (hopefully) - how do you sterilise jars for the curd (I did a search on the threads but can't find anything - never made Jam type products before!) and also what do you seal them with? Thanks

Ha ! I've got that one all covered already !The method is included in the step-by-step batch cooking guide for the first batch cooking day. "8.05 Turn the oven on low (no higher than 100 C / Gas 1/2). Pour the water out of the jars, pop the jars and the lids into the oven to dry fully (this will sterilise them and make sure your spreads do not go off). This should take about 5-10 minutes."
Keep 'em coming, Snowed ! Just mind I'm at work this afternoon, so if anything's dead urgent, you got 15 mins to ask, else you'll need to wait til tonite !
ETA: to seal them, just pop the lids back on, no special thingummys needed.0
