I am on the move again, approximately 6 weeks time, so I shall be trying to use up the storecupboard etc that I have built up, so I dont have to move it! Just been looking at the website again for inspirational ideas as I had fallen off the bandwagon so to speak. Liking it all, and its made me hungry now!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • Weezl - am guessing you'll have seen on Skype I can't get into my Hotmail account and so can't get to my article, fingers crossed I'll be able to get into it tomorrow at work - please could you PM me your email as I can't dropbox from work and want to get the article into a safe place ASAP! Will save it on my work comp for back up too and send a copy to the new Googlemail account I created, don't trust bloody MSN anymore!

Am so sorry couldn't get it to you tonight, am gutted. :( At least with auditbabe and my dad's hotmail not working either, it must be their problem and not specifically with my account, just hope it's sorted by tomorrow.

    Night all

Hubby was supposed to be away tonight but isnt so quick change of plan! I whipped up the BNS Risotto, didn't have time for roasting so just pan fried the bns.
Chris refused to eat it :( MIL rang just as we were finishing eating and he told her I'd cooked cheesey rice
    I shout out risotto!
she says oh lovely have you eaten it all?
Chris - No its not good, I don't like it, rice shouldn't be cheesey. :p

We all enjoyed it though! I will definitely make it again, I put some rosemary and garlic in it to pep it up a bit for our palate and my rice need roughly double the ammount of water stated :eek:maybe I should have put a lid on it sooner? or maybe it was that I used own brand rice not SP?

  • Thank the Lord, Hotmail has sorted itself out and article is now saved to my hard drive and in drop box, entitled Planner Advice For Singles (the other bit isn't done yet :o) - sorry if having to save it as an rtf file causes problems, it seemed the best of limited options of the crappy Word Pad software on this PC - doesn't even have Office so could do it in Word.

Please feel free to edit as much as you want, it's yours now to do with as you wish, won't be offended at all by any changes you make. Hope it's useful to you as is, will finish off the "more than four" bit tomorrow night hopefully, but if not then you will definitely have it before Friday. (Have decided I need to set myself deadlines to avoid further procrastination!)

Off to bed now - work in the morn unfortunately, but slept well last night and over the weekend, so sure this late one won't affect me too much. :)

Thanks Aless :) I did think it didn't sound like enough water, I must have looked at the rice/water quantities about 5 times before going for it :rotfl:
It also made enough for another meal for all of us so we're having it for lunch today (well maybe not Chris, tut!)

I have also spotted some lil mistakes in the website txt too:
On the BNS risotto it says garlic in the list of ingredients but doesn't mention it in the method.
In the wk1 shopping list it says "1 x OXO Stock Cubes Chicken (6x6g) KALLO Organic" I'm guessing the kallo organic needs removing?

Weezl - Which file in the dropbox did you want me to look at?

it says 3/4 litre stock but I used 1.5 litres if not more

When I do rice usually I use volume not weight and I use double the volume in water as rice, I've just weighed 500g rice in a jug at its up to 600ml so 1200ml needed minimum but to get a risotto-y texture you need the bit more :)

make sense or did I loose you?:o

hi sami I adapted both risotto recipes to include 1.5 litres of stock :)

Thanks for testing and giving feedback, it's very useful to have fresh eyes spotting any glitches, I'm really grateful.
