Glad the testing is working out for folks love hearing the results

And me... kinda spurs me on to test more, knowing others are doing the same :D

A CFR free night for me..... but a using up some leftovers.
I had some left over mash... so used a recipe for fishcakes, using a tin of salmon, some very old spring onions :o, some frozen peas, a half teaspoon of mint sauce and a good table spoon of tartar sauce, made in to fishcake shapes, with flour, and shallow fried, in a little oil.
They were very tasty... but the shape didn't really hold together. I had hoped to freeze the remainder, but I dont think they would hold up to it... so I will take the 2 left over for lunch tomorrow to work.

Today, I bought some more cashews, for the cranberry and cashew nut roast... as I didn't have enough.
So, they are bought, hopefully tomorrow will be the testing day :D
I am looking forward to it :D

On my agenda for today is 1/2 quantity bread, only problem I have is that after rummaging through my cupboards I have found 2 loaf tins but they are different sizes!!! 1 is a 2lb loaf tin and the other is larger but I dont know what size, anyway will see how it goes.

The sun is out so looks like its going to be a good day to get some washing dry (I hope), kids have gone to school/college so its lovely and quiet, pup is snoozing in his bed but no doubt will be under my feet as soon as I go into the kitchen.

Have a good day everyone xxx

No not had it before, but we have enjoyed everything we have tried so far.

I didn't start eating rice until I discovered Delia's way of cooking it as I could never cook it right.

Tip - Chicken and Onion pie is really flavoursome if you use half dark half white meat from the chicken.

Risi E Bisi, the peas is that the weight before or after soaking and cooking?

    hello mdw :)

you are going great guns with all your testing too! are you and LIT having a race?:rotfl: last one to do all the recipes is a rotten egg!

    it's the dried weight.

i wonder how i can rephrase that slightly to prevent confusion....

    will have a think!

i never do LIT, but fans of the Paul Merret loaf brush with a salt water solution and 2 different cooking temps.

I am too slap-dash to be able to faff with any of that :o:D

But please do if you'd like to....

    I'll find you Paul...
