  • LIT, thanks so much for the pate info, I have put off trying it as I only have a stick blender. I will try it later now you have blazed a trail!

Please be aware that the blender will keep clogging and will need to be scraped out from time to time.

Toad in the hole for tea, couldnt decide what to have so used up the sausages. Its now in the oven cooking. Verdict and pic later x

    Hi LIT

    You can download Skype:

    http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/get-skype/

Allegra & Shanks are using the same user names on there, so add them as friends & they can add you to the chat. It is a group IM, so don't need sound. :)
  • Had a night off from CFR and visited Pizza Hut as I had a very mentally exhausting day yesterday so wasn't capable of very much.

Today I had CFR bread for breakfast, didn't have much of an appetite this morning - but it was very nice.

Lunch - Leftover pizza :o and salad

Tea - CFR Pasta Carbonara - it was delicious, I've never had proper carbonara as it has alway sounded a bit rich, I'm not keen on meat and cheese combined in a meal - but the balance was perfect, DH cleared his first which is unheard of, but we all enjoyed it.

Tomorrow - DD and I will finally have Houmous for lunch, Risi e bisi for tea.

    Pictures for you

Chicken and Onion Pie - I found some pudding tins in my cupboard and used those so it would be easier to freeze

  • made cfr pie today for tea, but used a third of a tin of corned beef and added 100g mushrooms

plus baked in the oven as a pie in a 20cm tin, not steamed.

verdict - delish and will def use the other two thirds of a tin as pies

No not had it before, but we have enjoyed everything we have tried so far.

I didn't start eating rice until I discovered Delia's way of cooking it as I could never cook it right.

Tip - Chicken and Onion pie is really flavoursome if you use half dark half white meat from the chicken.

Risi E Bisi, the peas is that the weight before or after soaking and cooking?
