Don't worry I will do! In fact tonight I've left all work at work and will relax- will be doing a 13 plus hour day tomorrow!

Inspired by comments on SavingH's diary the next target area is to improve motoring costs. I already search for best insurance but I want to make a conscious effort to drive less, make sure the tyre pressure is checked regularly, keep boot as clear as possible and keep on with efforts to avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration........drive other drivers mad on way to work slowing down gradually when lights are at red and trying not to have to stop completely! I like my game though!

    Just got home!
Dansmum- that is exactly the problem we kept having. Too tired at the end of work to cook properly! That's why we're trying to make stuff for freezer that is just as quick and easy to cook as going out is or getting take away. So ok it is a tiny bit more effort but a lot of it is frozen in boil in a bags so we just bung rice or pasta on and bung it in saucepan of simmering water leave for a bit then serve up!
Otherwise we'd end up on constant diet of pizza, fishcakes and chips, Kiev and chips, steak and chips and takeouts!

    Thanks Saving.
I will make sure tomorrow isn't longer than 10 hours- although I expect I will have to bring some work home for the weekend!

  • I wish I could get myself in gear, Jellie, and do that too, but after work for 9 hours, plus 2 hours a day with my boys, the whole batch cooking malarkey thing gets a little pushed to the back - although I did do a curry this week and mine stretched to 2 servings so have another in the freezer. DansDad scoffed ALL of his in one go!! We normally have a takeawy once every coupke of weeks usually on a Saturday when our weeks finished!!:D

I'm sure if we had children it would be a different story. As we are cooking for two it is fairly easy to make at least two extra portions when we do get round to cooking to freeze!

Unexpected good news today- have been given laptop/ notebook for work use. This will mean I can sort my stuff out and get work stuff off the home computer. Yeah more decluttering!! I'm also in the mood for more wardrobe decluttering. I don't want to get yet another book so will search around on Internet about capsule wardrobes and see if I can streamline mine a bit. I also need to take up some of my suit trousers so I can actually wear them again!
