Sorry to hear that the buyers have dropped out now, it's their loss as they must be giving up on a house they really want to live in, and i'm sure one day they'll see the funny side of the situation!! What a story to tell the grandchildren one day!
I can see why they'd be slightly annoyed about everything that's been said about them on the forum, but it was all said in jest and good humour, i'm sure no one meant any offense to them! Besides, if the situation was happening to someone other than them i expect they'd see the funny side of the situation too!!
Sure you'll find another buyer soon enough, when it's back up for sale you should post the URL on here, maybe one of the many readers of this thread might be interested!!0 -
Won't be the dog in a state of decomposition? This has surely ruined the garden. Can you not claim compensation for the ruined state of the garden?Do Something Amazing- Give Blood0

:rotfl:how do you re-instate a peg bag then ???
""Won't be the dog in a state of decomposition? This has surely ruined the garden."
surely rotting cadavers all add to the mineral composition and good compost qualities of the soil ? :think:0 -

As a forensic archaeology student i could answer that question if i knew the soil type, what the dog was wrapped in and the area of the country (past weather conditions)...
isn't that just delightful lol xNeed a new start..wheres good to live in the UK?!0 -
]Isn't the dog currently being eaten by maggots and insects.
Digging the burial site will reveal the putrid dog and can be messy.

The subsoil strata will now be an interesting compound of caninus deadus, calciferous carbonatus, halfus ingestedio Bonio and a soft element known as furrus.
There will also be trace elements of Madera and a twist of a metallic element known as peggus clippus.
A suitably sensitive instrument may also detect a Tescotus enduring ad infinitum cottonus baggus.
Further investigations will likely reveal a biggus dickus - Danish extraction
In view of this unique soil composition the National Gardens Yellow Book Scheme are likely to be interested and so the vendor may raise his asking price to take account of the national importance of this site of special scientific interest.0 -
Running... are you sure you aren't related to henpecked ?????? this is wonderful stuff..... i even believed it the first read-through
i think it was the tescotus which gave it away in teh end !!!!!0 -
I really don't think the Missus is going to relish the return of her Mother's peg-bag now!0

I have a dead cat buried in a small bedding area (it was my cat and 15 years ago) I've grown some potatoes this year and the ones near the burial site are 5 times bigger than the ones in pots (not going to tell the kids which bit they came from)0 -
