Yeah right, then you wouldn't even be able to see the fish. Koi are dirty fish and need filtering, no pump and filter they will die. Goldfish you'd get away with but not Koi I am afraid.0 -

When the neighbours whose garden backs onto the bottom of yours see their garden is sodden in the morning and it hasn't been raining they'll be calling the water board out......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Joking aside Henpecked1, I am actually concerned re the sale thing as you've posted another thread re the land registry and missing bits...https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2637925...
I really think you should be assertive, state that your wife is very unhappy re the situation and that you've taken some advice and wish to speak to your solicitor before more disruption to your property occurs.
It's your house, your garden, if you can't do the above, say you have to leave NOW as there is a family emergency and get them to leave.
Then tomorrow, first thing ring your solicitor.
in hindsight, yes i shouldnt have agreed to this. i thought it would be an in out job, min disruption, it is a bit late now the dog is on route. hopefully they will just drop off the dog, say goodbyes etc and be gone by 9.30 so i can begin cleaning up. They brought with them a rubble sack and some of those hessian bags for life so they are clearing as they go.
also they werent told we had fish in the pond. the water is so murky i dont think they saw them.
as i write the KA has just turned up, windows all open. she is trying to reverse the car in (badly), better go and welcome her I suppose.
talk later.0 -

I suppose the concrete layer underneath the pond wont be too thick to break up. Does anyone have a discount code for HSS Hire?
The front garden is too tiny and I am sure the buyers would object to it being buried under the for sale board.

Thanks so much to the OP for this post, I've not laughed so much in ages!!
However, my Great Dane did die 3 weeks ago, and his ashes are now sitting in my living room - I wasn't tempted to bury him, I would still be digging!!0 -

It depends on the age of the fish really, little young Koi would be ok in a pond without filters etc..0 -
Great Danes are quite some size.. what you need is to force it into the 1100 litre water tank buried in your garden ,Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
