SICK!
Ooh, that's just reminded me of my friend's mum. She put her cat in the freezer in a tesco carrier bag (must be the in thing in dead petwear!) as it was when the snow was really heavy a couple of years ago, so she wanted to wait until the snow had gone and she could take it out to some beauty spot to bury. She'd just stuck it in there, in the bag, next to the fishfingers and frozen peas!0 -
Can you have a pizza/indian/chinese(!) delivered?0

It might be wise to ensure that the three adults that arrived are the three adults that leave !.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

i thought of that but it may be a bit insensitive sitting here in front of Big Brother eating duck pancakes when they are bringing the dog through the lounge and out through the patio windows.
Hate to say it but he isnt making much progress on the concrete and it is starting to get dark.0 -
Shame there are no pictures to help this wind up along.0

I have given them a cup of tea. OH is out so I cant even go down the chippy. feels a bit awkward.
it has got very strange though and now I have a bad feeling. He turned up and went out to the garden looked around and asked do i mind if he removes the pond liner, I said fine. He looked at the concrete base and asked me why i concreted it. I told him there was a lot of builders rubble etc and to protect the pond liner i chucked in cement as i was doing the patio.
the gobsmaker is that it emerges the dog belongs to the daughter but because she lives in a council flat, she cant bury it on communial grounds. She took the dog when she left home so i now see why the parents were upset. Daughter is tearful. I assumed that the parents owned the dog, not that they are the middleman.
So now they are hammering in garden (the neighbours will complain if this carries on), I am being made to feel guilty and the dog isnt theirs.
i have put the fish on freecycle, I am feeling worse about all this now and the dog hasnt arrived yet. I am never moving again.
I did wonder, when I mentioned earlier in the thread about them selling their house, whether or not they were selling their house to move to yours or if they were currently renting. As I didn't think they'd be able to bury a pet in a rented home, and then they could just be trying to save money rather than paying for a cremation.
They should have paid the extra money to ensure that it was their dog's ashes that they got back, if that was the worry.0 -

Sorry couldn't resist but perhaps a rather literal interpretation of 'bag for life' in a last ditch attempt at resuscitation?0 -

i can hardly take pictures of them in my garden can I?
O"h can i take a snap of your dead dog. Prop him up against the lobelias and say cheese." I think not.
I feel a bit intimidated in my own house. I wish someone else was here with me.0 -
if this isnt a wind up then you realise that this isnt going to happen, no way is he going to be able to get through that concrete0
