Where does all my money go???

Tonight ive been working at the pub, exhausted as I feel as though I havent had a minute to myself today. I got up early, took the pup for a walk, came home, went for an interview, drove into town with my daughter as she needed afew things for her holiday, came back, made tea, washed up, took pup for a walk, got changed then out the door again for work which is a 1/2 hour drive away. Id love a lie in tomorrow but its not going to happen (so much for taking a weeks holiday from main job) Kids are off to grannys tomorrow for 2 weeks as im back in main job work on monday plus doing lots of extra shifts in the pub in the evenings!. Plus side is that I should be able to live on £20 a week for the next cpl of weeks, downside is cooking for 1, although I do have enough homemade ready meals in the freezer to last me, the task will be to remember to take them out of the freezer before I go to work in the morning.
Kids have been great and put the washing on for me and packed their things so at least I dont have to worry about doing that, they have tidied their rooms but I am going to blitz them whilst they arent here just so I can get rid of afew things they dont need/use any more.
Suppose that will be the start of my decluttering!:j
Anyway I cant keep my eyes open any longer, I need sleep and I am really looking forward to a lie in and day off on Saturday.:T Might even stay in my PJs all day (maybe I should of put a pj day on my 101 things list!!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

£11.97 spent on shopping yesterday and £2 parking
£14.93 left in purse and today is payday :j £14.93 can go into my sealed pot which i am planning on not opening till May next year. Hopefully I will have enough in thee to pay for my car insurance in full and 12 months road tax.
Still not heard anything about the job but suppose its still only early yet.
Kids going to grannys at 12 so I am chilling till I take them the train station.
Im working tonight then 2morrow I have the day and evening off :T so i am planning to stay in my pjs all day (but I will be making a start on blitzing the house)Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

OMG how quiet is this house! Even the poor pup is looking lost and lonely. Called into work and collected my wages £96 to last till next friday. The kids train tickets didnt cost as much as I expected so I will be able to pay another £20 off my CC bringing the balance down to £87 yay!!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

I still have £1562 of income to come in before the 1st of September and my outgoings still left to come out of the bank is £345.27 meaning I will have £1216.73 left!!! Which means I can start the new month off by having a months worth of emergency money cash and roughly £65 left over!!! I can use the £65 to pay more off the CC woop woopSealed Pot Challenge member #982

Hi life in termoil
Well done on such a positive start. I don't know if you were deliberately planning on having exactly 1 month's emergency fund, but given how close you are to paying off the entire CC, I would be tempted to do that so you won't earn any more interest on it, and get a psychological boost from having one debt completely gone.
Whichever way you decide to deal with it, best of luck, and I look forward to reading your progress.

I was thinking about changing all my direct debits to the 5th of the month that way everything will go out together and not bits here and bits their, that way i will have a better idea of how much money i have to save.Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

That's not a bad idea. Or, I sit down with my payslip each time I get it and then deduct bills from it as I go (most of mine change each month so it's never the same twice). I then figure out how much I'm left with, and what I'm going to do with it. That might help you.
Also, if you plan to save money in a seperate bank account, make it so that the DD (if you set one up) goes from the account at the same time so you don't spend your savings by accident!

This is a great idea so I think i will pay off the CC when my wages go in but will leave sky and internet as payment on the 15 to give myself some leeway. I wont be putting anything into the savings account untill the end of september as this will give me an idea of how much ive got to play with and also work out how much I can put away into car account, xmas account and savings account.Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

Feeling quite disappointed as still not had a phone call about the job. Ah well im guessing I havent got it. Never mind will keep trying. Off to the pub now shame I will be on the wrong side of the bar lol. Need to do a meal plan for next week when I get in and also a plan of action regarding the house. I will start crossing things off my list of 101 things to do.
Have a great evening everyoneSealed Pot Challenge member #982
