    Hi Lif..
    Just a thought ..or two
ain't it better MSE wise to clear debts before you start saving, given interest rates etc?
& mobile charges sound just too much!

apart from that .. love your list... they are all achievable things so ... GO GIRL!!!

  • Hi Pip,
only 1 of my debts is accruing interest which is the CC. Hopefully I can pay this off next week, the others arent a drama.
The mobile phones thats for the four of us. My contract runs out in October and I wont be renewing it as I dont need it or use it to be honest. Ive got a PAYGO sim card somewhere so will just top that up with a tenner as I only really use it if I need to call home or in an emergency so that will knock £30 off straight away. 2 more are up for renewal in february so they will be having their tariffs changed as they only use them for texts and internet.

Sounds like you've got a good handle on things, Termoil. Well done!

Oh, your electric looks quite high. Are you still checking how much less you are using this week?

  • Well thats the day job GONE!!! Went into work this morning along with everyone else and we were told to collect our things and leave!! If id of known that I wouldnt of bothered wasting diesel driving there. Checked online banking and wages have gone in plus an additional £100 :j Also paid off the CC yay go me

So ive been to the shops and bought 2 bottles of voddie, some skittles and werthers originals and have the makings of skittle and toffee vodka:T so I can now officially say im getting ready for Xmas :snow_laug

Im working tonight at the pub which should be good as its a charity music quiz night in aid of a cancer charity so hopefully it will be quite busy.

Ive phoned the council and have applied for housing and council tax benefit, they took all my details over the phone and said she would send me an application pack out in the post and to fill it in send it back with payslips, etc and it would take about 2 weeks for a decision to be made, so fingers crossed I shouldnt be waiting for too long. Now just got to phone tax credits up and amend that.

Its raining again here I think our summer is over with already (did we have a summer?) as it seems to be getting much colder and wetter and its now dark by 9 :(

Spending diary still going strong, I dont know whether its because im keeping a record of everything or whether its because the kids arent here I dont seem to be buying any carp and can justify all my purchases (which havent been many!)

Anyway ive done enough rambling for 1 morning so will venture out in the rain and take pup for a walk then come home and have lunch (I fancy boiled egg and soldiers haha)

    Have a good Friday everyone

I read this and thought, oh no she's going on the lash:eek:

Sorry to hear about the redundancy but delighted you are being so positive and productive. Good luck with your applications.

Agree about grim weather. My brother called me from S Wales this morning and I could hear the thunderstorm in the background and then all the power went off. Barbecue Summer eh!
  • hahahaaaa wish I was going out on the lash, not had a drink for ages!!!

Im not far from the S Wales border so was probably the same thunderstorm we had, did think about putting the sand bags outside the front door but the water just ran straight past lol Its still raining now but not as heavy as it was, hope it clears up for later nothing like going to work with frizzy hair coz the rains got to it lol.

Skittle and toffee vodka made but think toffee vodka needs more toffee in it! Anyone know how many bags of werthers you put into a 1 ltr bottle?

The pup never got a walk, he just sat at the front door looking out and refusing to shift his butt, mind you I dont think the huge clap of thunder helped either!! Hes now asleep at my feet after enjoying his egg n soldiers lunch haha must stop feeding him but he looks so cute when hes sat at your feet watching every mouthful lol

My dog does this too and now turns his nose up at regular dog food!

Been reading your diary and I must say the housework you do everyday make me feel tired just reading about it! :D
